The proper LEO richlist to understand LEO's distribution and movement.

in #steemleo5 years ago (edited)

It is amazing that Steem and sidechains (@steem-engine tokens) are absolutely transparent so that we can do some interesting research to get some insights on the token distribution and movements. These insights can be helpful for the traders, investors, stakeholders and content-creators.

The proper LEO richlist

Since LEO can be in staked, delegated staked, pending staked, in liquid balance, therefore, it is hard to get the proper rich list from the @steem-engine explorer..

Therefore, I compiled a proper richlist for LEO by sorting all the combinations. My benchmark is minimum 10K LEO in staked or liquid form. Therefore, there 47 accounts or individual who have at least 10K LEO. There is one account who has relatively large amount (30K) in liquid LEO and another account with large stake (30K) have begun power down (pending stake).

The top five whales are @aggroed, @khaleelkazi, @dtrade, @organduo, @diverse: all of them have more than 50K LEO. The biggest of them @aggroed has more than 65K LEO. There are few recent entries to the rich list who are actively increasing their stakes buying up aggressively..

There are 20 accounts with 30K LEO. Together, this 47 accounts hold almost 1.2M LEO. If you consider the total staked amount of 2.4M LEO (including delegation), they have in together approximately 50% of the staked LEO. There are 3782 accounts who have LEO and out of them 1420 accounts have staked some LEO. Again it has interesting wealth list where 1.2% accounts hold 50% of LEO, and 98.8% hold 50% LEO, not bad considering that most wealth list are very much skewed to the top.

Since both Steem and LEO are dirt cheap at this moment, it will take only 7500 Steem or $1100 dollar to be in the top five list in the LEO holders. On other hand, there are at-least 2152 accounts in Steem that have 5K Steem. 5K Steem can buy 33.33K LEO. There are only 10 LEO accounts that has equivalent dolphin status in steem (5K Steem).

There is another list at the end that which includes non-individual accounts. It has four official leo accounts (@noleo4u, @leo.curator, @learn.leo, @leo.curation). I am not sure wheter @leo.curator being an official LEO account. A large staked account with 79K LEO got delegation from two large holder from the first list.

@union.leo with 64K looks like an aggregator voting account formed by the Korean community on the other hand, @cn-leo with 49K LEO formed by the Chinese community.

Thanks, that is a great honor ;)

Steemleo is one of the strongest tribes with a strong price was thing there would be dumpers to scrap some Leo when the price was cheap but I never got any until the price doubled no doubt I still got my eyes on it just waiting for some funds to clear in so I can stach up some more at least 1k for a start

Sometimes LEO gets dumped by big holders. You can look into their wallet for unstaking period and market activity to get cheaper LEO: https://steem-engine.rocks/tokens/LEO/richlist?sort_field=pending_unstake&sort_order=desc

Thanks will do just to monitor the accounts for better price thanks for the info

How long does it take to powerdown Leo from staking, is it 3 months Like steem?

Posted using Partiko Android

Thanks better than steem I guess this is where I would power up shorter period to wait for powerdown.

Nice one. The SE richlist doesnt include the delegations, so its incomplete. You have made it well :)

Thanks for the catch. I have corrected the number to the main blog.

NP ... also not sure about the number of accouts that have staked LEO.... that as well probably dont have the delegations .... I will include this number in the stats ...

There are four column: stake, pending sake, received stake (who received delegation), delegated stake. Sum of them should be total stake accounts, which I guess 1420. I can't show them due to limitation of boundary of markdown table.

Will be great to see the price of SteemLeo to come in parity with steem!

There are still some pressure from power down from the airdrop (e.g. pending unstake). Its normal since @steem.leo is not their niche. Once they clear out, more updates take place, few more burns ensue, new external listing through SMT switch or SMT peg are planned, LEO can reach parity with Steem.

There is 262.65 Steem per account (346.5M Steem/1.32M accounts). On the other hand, there is 634 LEO per account (2.4M LEO/3785 acounts). Therefore, some distribution should take place to reach in parity with Steem.

Moreover, Steem is three years old and Steemleo in only three month old.

Awesome post and great granular data.

Thanks, more correction and data added ;)
