RE: A few reflections on Facebook at Fifteen

I'm not a zuckered apologist, but a lot of the problems with the Facebook are just problems with [ insert name of the largest social media platforms here].
They could definitely do things more open and honest, but hey for the rest of us there is Steemit.

Speaking of that here is some math:
FB market cap: $473,160,000,000
STEEM market cap: $90,814,632
That's a market cap 5210 X larger

Or if you are Lambo Moon Child that's potential for just under $150 per STEEM token when STEEM has the same value, but obviously it's at least 10 X better so that's like 100000 per Steem or something!

Love yer optimism.

But wait, you're forgetting that steem could be the next FB + Amazon + YouTube + etc. etc..... so 10* again.

I'd probably go for an Aston Martin rather than a Lambo.

Right forgot SMTs, Dapps.
Also, way more potential for advertisements since clicks and stuff can be recorded on the immutable blockchain proving conversion rates and allowing for very focused targeting.
Then there is my personal favorite cryptographic surveillance and forensics.
Most people looking at blockchains are taking a freedom libertarian approach, but I think there are also many less explored but authoritarian friendly aspects.
