a new shiny
got my new shiny today :) this one was bought purely for the CGT~capitol gains tax,which if you're in england you will know what I am on about if not, and please remember I do not understand the details myself, I am one of those people in life that if you wish to be nice you can say stuff like; 'oh she's a creative type', or if you're being realistic you can say that anything technical, involves complicated stuff like maths, or worse 'lawyerspeak' you know all that legalese stuff, well I kind of glaze over and mentally skip away to my happy place, so CGT in the easiest terms possible is~ I buy my silver now and pay tax and if I go to sell my silver in the future, anything over a certain amount I get the dubious joy of being taxed again. I really do not like this idea, when I think about taxation I tend to get a bit flustered :) so in order to avoid good old capitol gains tax I can buy these coins and celebrate the idea of not being robbed a second time :)

so this is one of my what I like to call practical buys, and practical buying is good but I am looking forward to getting my next coin which will be one of my 'indulge myself' buys :) also I am a little excited :) I have sat for a while now trying my best to think of ways of being able to play with silver, I watch many videos of experts pouring beautiful pieces of silver and very much wanted a go myself, being realistic though meant I had to find another way to play with silver that didn't involve furnaces etc and I think I have found a whole new area of arty happiness :) those who know me in the day to day world know that my home is very much centered on art and creativity, but I hadn't made anything with silver so now a whole new adventure awaits :) I just need to gather some materials and equipment and then have fun creating pretty silver things :)
every day is a treasure finding day!

The Britannia is indeed a lovely coin, I recently got the version with the Oriental border that is not very different of the original but reminds me of the difficult and onerous trade history between China and England. A nice add to the Stack!
