Ok Steemsilvergold members, here we go.........

As the title suggest's, this post is about having to cut Precious's upvoting percentage's across the board to help us rebuild voting power and get us back to were we wonna be. It needs to be a deep cut to ensure that our voting power increases quickly so as not to drag this process out getting us to our end gold as soon as we can.

What's changed in July

A few things have changed from the beginning of the month. We have 4 extra gold members, 3 upgrading from silver and 1 brand new. We had 11 upgrades over the board this month and that has pushed our daily voting percentage through the roof. The ratio between SBD and STEEM is still a big factor in upvoting amounts received and this will be our fist ever full month (assuming) were SBD has been worth more than STEEM. I think it is highly unlikely we will see SBD worth more than STEEM again and if we do, it will be very brief. This is something was must get used to because we have never had a community bot in this market with these ratio's. We have had the bot during the most perfect time, now it is time to see who the real community driven stackitis addicts are within our accumulation of members. There is no big raffle this month and this also cuts into our liquid steem and as a result, we will lose a 10k lease in the next few hours. This does not have any effect on voting power but it does on the upvote amount. Lastly, we have new bot operator's who are shit scared of making a huge mistake were Precious ends up offline are everyones upvote's get messed up. As for as configuring the bot, we are taking this first month slow and learning the ins and outs but it's hard to learn things without making mistakes, hahaha. We thank everyone for the support given and showed to us throughtout the switch over from @buggedout to @welshstacker and @silverstackeruk

What are we gonna do?

Cut deep and get it done. The great thing about a community bot over a private bot is that when things like this need to happen, the feedback is normally a little more supportive as it's a community over profit. Both would be perfect but sometimes we gotta take the rough with the smooth. We are going to cut base rate upvote from 3% down to 2% and reduce the upvote per delegated SP by 9%ish. If that makes no sense to you at all, please see the table below. We understand that these cuts might shock a few members but the quicker we can recover to our target voting power, the quicker we can increase the percentages were we hope they will remain the rest of the month. We have been playing with the numbers on an excel sheet and we are confident we have good ballpark figures to keep voting power consistantly around the same area. We just need to get to that area first.

Before you go and start to sharping your knifes, please understand that as the voting power of the bot increase's so does the upvote amount. It all starts to make sense when you see the results we could accomplish with an increased voting power.



This is were we are today at the time of posting. We can so that a gold upvote is worth around 4.97 STU rewards.



In few days when the voting power reaches 85%, we will be pretty much were we are today in upvote value



but then...........we come to a point were we have to increase the voting percentages because the bot is collecting to much voting power. If we increase for example gold to 54-55%, we can see that a few days of pain could result in a bigger upvote the rest of the month

Ps... I have just seen that when entering the figures in the screenshots above, i have got he voting power and voting weight mixed up but the result is the same. Most of you will not have noticed but i guess a few will so Whoopsie. Same, same but different.

When will the percentage cut happen

It will happen tonight at the stroke of midnight GMT. There is no reason for this time, it is just a target for me to hit to make sure it is done.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this post. I think that we will be just fine after we hit are target voting power of 85%. We could go further but 85% is teh bot target percentage set by buggedout. Im sure he has chose the percentage for a reason and probaly a good reason also. Just as a few kicker Precious stat type stuff, we have 44,320 SP in delegations from Steemsilvergold members and we collected 915.6 liquid STEEM during July's contribution drive. And finally based on the numbers above, Precious will give out roughly 4780 in STU rewards this month to members of the #Steemsilvergold community.
