To PAL, or not to PAL - That is the question:
So the guys over at PEACE, ABUNDANCE and LIBERTY have released their own token and "steemit" copy palnet.io
The tokens were free to claim and now they sit in the @ssg-community #steem-engine wallet.
I (@welshstacker) have already signed up to the website and have already staked mine, so I may be a little bias.....
So why would @ssg-community stake theirs rather than sell them??
Well that's exactly what I'm asking the community.
So what's in it for #steemsilvergold members and why does it benefit them?? The truth is, and this is only my understanding, this will only benefit members that receive an upvote from @ssg-community.
Because palnet.io is a copycat and uses the PAL token, if we were to stake @ssg-community's PAL, the everything @ssg-community upvotes here on Steemit, would receive the same upvote % worth of PAL on the palnet website.
DOES THAT SOUND RIGHT?? HAVE I UNDERSTOOD THAT CORRECTLY??
So what I need to know is - if you use @ssg-community do you want me to stake the 458 PAL, so that ssg-community can start earning you extra pal??

Welshie Keep Them Stacked and any Earnings from PAL just STAKE that Too. It will Benefit the entire @ssg-community down the Line and If I understook @aggroed in a recent interview with @champagnecrypto there are going to be Far Less PAL tokens which means the Demand Should be STRONG !

Well I have staked 1600 pal I wanted to vote but a 100% vote on steem is worth 0.02 steem but not in pal in pal it is much lower so you need to have more pal before your vote is worth something. I think at the price of 0.05 steem your vote will be 0.0001 pal so you must buy 300.000 pal to vote something. But I don't know if I made a mistake. But this is a great way to participate from the beginning. I wish I was on the auction house when the price was 0.0002 cent I would be rich now. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I was just too late.

Give it time and curate what you want to curate! If you have staked token and use the tag, it's all gravy on top of your regular steem experience. You may even find that you start looking at how you curate or interact a little differently, and that's more the goal. We don't want you to rush out and buy anything until you look at things through the "PALnet filter", if you will... if it gets you excited about posting, engaging, and curating again, it's a huge win. Since it's linked to your Steem account and is a cherry on top, that's an even bigger win. You may find that with all the ways that will be coming to participate more in the ecosystem that you earn more than you expect. It's a great adventure~
Excellent point. I use weedcash and make more money in WEED tokens than I do in SBD and SP on Steemit
I don't think that math is right. The MOD Drop (to PAL Mods) is 30,000 PAL, and their vote is worth well more than fractional PAL. I think with all of the new people coming onboard all at once it is going to take some time for the algo to figure out what your vote is really worth. But I am sure your 1600 PAL is worth more than 0.0001 PAL once it all gets calibrated.
Stake them I reckon.
I'd even go one further and suggest that recipients of ssg-community votes should send their PALNET to ssg-community so there is some decent punch behind the upvotes.
I haven't received a vote from ssg-community in probably close to a year, but you can have my tokens.
Personally I sold mine. However I would say that the bot should stake those. Any WEED tokens too.. that is just a extra bonus for those using those front ends. I staked my WEED tokens on my @tommyknockers voting bot because it targets the cannabis and weedcash audience. I want people to delegate to that account to get WEED upvotes too.. just the ramblings of a man who smoked the whole blunt.. and posted the picture sideways..
I would say power them up. Then the upvotes that go out to the palnet users get a little pal bump.

You DO need to vote on things with the palnet tag to earn curation in PAL, but it's likely you'll do that in the course of a normal day anways... and you DO need to use the palnet tag to be eligible to earn rewards in PAL. But you are absolutely right you can use any front end you please and in every case you'll still be earning your rewards in Steem :)
Since the Silver Mermaid hasn't given me an Up-Vote in Months, I have no opinion, one way or the other...

I would love to see them staked, we could get donations to ssg to make Our little mermaid earn them even faster. I believe it's a 50/50 split on curating so that would be cool. We could always sell them later if needed.
