Silver of the Day #49
Yesterday I showed you a Norwegian Cruise Line casino token that I acquired. It's part of that nautical theme, pirates and such, so I thought I should get it. Yesterday's was "Island Paradise." Today's is even more piratey.
Behold, "Sunken Treasure!"
Again, it's a 0.6 ounce of silver surrounded by a circle of brass. This is a true pirate round that probably should have been saved for Pirate Sunday, but I was too excited to show you. It has:
- Treasure
- Water
- Treasure under the water
- Mermaid
- Sunken ship
And then there's the other side that has the cruise ship. Cruise ships normally carry more treasure than most pirates could have even hoped to acquire. So all in all, I think this does a great job of being a pirate round.
What are your thoughts? Not piratey enough? TOO piratey?
I like this. There are two more in this series. I think one is called Neptune, and the other is also a pirate-themed on: The Sunken Treasure. This is a good collection of art rounds.
That's nice to know there are more out there. I imagine that the LCS has sold the other ones by now. They tend to do a good volume on the more unique stuff. I need to get back to the basics anyways, so it keeps me from having to worry about it. :D
howdy there silversaver888..are these things rare and are they old? no dates that I can see.
I only know about these tokens from an auction. They may be rare, because the Auction was put up by the Antique and Vintage Corp. The tokens are HSP. I do like the designs of the token.

really like all the elements.
Maybe the mermaid works for me and is bringing more treasure back to the stash. She has no use for it, but I can trade things that are of value to her and then she brings me the treasure. :)

of course man! Silver!! Pirates!! equals awesome!! Now my favorites would be any medieval style coins, I think we talked about it before with dragons and stuff. Knights, Castles, swords, Vikings, etc. But Pirates are awesome too.
I'd love to get some medieval-style ones as well. That's something I'll have to specifically keep a lookout for. I haven't seen them yet, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Awesome! Yeah I think they would be rad to have. haha :) Like a whole small little treasure chest full of them. lol
All the silver casino chips that I have got, they have a value, like $10. This has no value written...Maybe it is only a ship token, not the casino inside the ship.
