Fantastic post! And a very important topic to discuss, especially with all the ramifications this has for criminal justice. It also shows that the whole "brain-as-computer" metaphor/analogy has some serious limitations.
Yes in criminal cases it's very interesting to see how all kinds of people say that they make crimes that never happens.
