Waking Up to a Nightmare of a Day So Far

Ever wanted to rip someone's head off and use it as a football for the next couple of hours? Well, that's how I'm feeling right now. Last night, some prick scraped the front side wing of my car. Most of the panelling has been pushed inside and there is loads of residual white paintwork left behind. I can only assume it was another crime perpetrated by a "white van" driver. They're infamous in the streets of London for causing this kind of work.

Sure, I'm venting, but the worst thing is there's nobody I can point the finger at. The asshole that did it is oblivious to the fact that he's caused problems in other people's lives. I hope some of you can relate to how that feels. It's been a few hours but I can't seem to shake the anger yet. I suppose in time it'll subside. And in any case, I've heard much worse.
A good friend of mine had his motor stolen! And straight from under his nose, off the driveway! He was sleeping at the time but still, that's a horrible situation for anyone to deal with first thing in the morning.

In fact, London is becoming a little too "crime happy" as of late. First thing is the swathe of scooter theft. Teenagers running riot on small mopeds, catching unaware innocent pedestrians off-guard, only to rob them at knife (or gunpoint) before taking off again. And every story I hear of, the criminals are never caught. And even if they were, let's say. The police bring them in, giving the old slap on the wrist, before letting them loose on the streets again. When in the hell does the "punishment" aspect come into play? When there's been a serious injury committed? Or, heaven forbid, even worse?

Sorry, I went off on one a bit there, but I'm sure you do see the problem. Not that the cops would have caught the guy who ploughed into the side of my car, but just knowing that nothing comes of justice in the way of criminal proceedings in this country. Anyways, the voice of reason came to my aid as always. My wife said save the "real" worry for if anything was to happen to us. Touch wood, it doesn't, of course. But she is right. Material possessions can always be mended, but a persons health is another matter entirely.

I didn't know the power of "venting" could be so damn therapeutic. Yes, that's right. In the big scheme of things, things could be a lot worse... Oh yeah, I forget to add. We also discovered the mains were turned off due to some repair works and the street has no running water. And that, my Steemian friends, is a rant for another day... :)

Your wife was truthfully right..... And to any country now, we used to listen to all this kind of social vices being spread all around...... In a nutshell claiming lives as well, but what happened to you just happened to your car and not you...... Leave the offender just to God.

Even with this I hope you have just did the best thing listening to your wife.

Wise words, buddy. Seems you and my wife are more level headed than I. I'm not tolerated of this kind of behaviour. Had that been me, you'd can be sure I'd leave a note with my details on the windshield.

Anyways, it is what it is. Thanks, buddy.

That would have ended up to seeing another set of monster 😂 just so happy you'd listen to her...... As agent of peace...... You're welcome once more.

I need to take a lesson from you and learn to take out my frustrations on Steem. I do agree with the other replies, as well as with your wife. You reap what you sow and if you sow damage into others lives you will eventually reap damage in your own. I know this from personal experience, like I said, I get frustrated and tend to loose that frustration at the wrong things. But I'm taking anger management classes and hope that they will help me control my emotional balance. All the best to you and yours @ezzy!
@joeohs

Man, feel free to use Steem as a "venting" platform too. As I'm sure we can all empathise with each other when it comes to these maddening issues for us. I'm still fuming, man. But hopefully time (and money) will fix up the wrongs caused by that scumbag.

Thanks for dropping by, buddy. :)

Let karma take care of it , honestly it will come back to them . Someone scratched my car two weeks ago wth a key from the back to the front and I was pretty upset but I realized these assholes will get it back to themselves one day

Terrible, right? How people can be so full of it is beyond me. but yeah, karma is a "real" thing and I do hope they get theirs...

Don’t worry thank god it wasn’t tooo severe

Oh nooooo, that is the worst!! So sorry my friend!

Heya, @dreemit! Oh, I'm feeling it "hard" today. Keep telling myself, "It's only materialistic. It doesn't matter." But that ain't working as of yet. :(

You know, I had positive emotions about this London I regret you a cuckold civilian like you that you're givining exactly there I hope in the near future you will return your car and your friend here also happens to be unmarked, but not so much I almost fell off my feet when I read your post I wish you good luck. @ezzy
