It's was nice nice story and a kind of open letter - they say "immobility perpetuates poverty" meaning been dormant on one particular knowledge without learning another causes knowledge poverty. I don't blame your parents just blame their ignorance and the best way to turn the tides is to become the future you're talking about in style.
