🌫 STUDIO WORK // Long lost world // NEW SONG MIXED 🌫
One of the songs that we finished in the last week is from a band I record and mixed in the last year.
I've already wrote about that bunch, and it seems that I'm their designated producer, cause even through my chaos and over-booked character they seem to enjoy the workflow and the overall sound.
I really like that we've made that connection.

The songs are always sort of ethereal and colorful, but the atmosphere should always reflect some sort of hope.
This song is called "See You Tomorrow"
and it talks about a long lost world that will eventually come back despite us.
We've had worlds like that disappear before, like the Atlantis.
It's not an apocalyptic scenery, but the strength of it should remind us of how much we don't matter.
I'll translate the lyrics for you quickly:

The song is beautiful, but I've had some problems in getting the piano right, and also I feel like the master is pumping too much - filling the headroom too much. But overall, it depicts the theme.
What do you think?
I'll make a post about different phases of the mix. Just so I can reflect back and see what could've been done better.

dojam je nostalgičan, nostalgija za nečim što se nije još dogodilo ili.. se ipak je dogodilo. I što je to zapravo vrijeme i kako ono teče i znamo li za taj sutra i hoćemo li doći do tamo i zašto već nismo nego smo tu. Lijepa pjesma, zanimljiv tekst. U nekim trenutcima klavir je pregrub i čini mi se da se negdje teže razabire što glas govori (il to ja imam loše slušalice?)
U pravu si oko svega..je, jako je velika dinamika između dijelova, rokala je pijanistica po klaviru i ja se nisam baš dobro pripremio za to pri usnimavanju... Vokal je jako uronjen u mjuzu, a kako je zgužvano sve, najvjerojatnije je malo nerazuman..
Jbg na greškama se uči.. valjda nije baš toliko unakazilo ideju :/
Ma ne, nije unakazilo ideju.! Ne brini za to. Samo sam pokušala skužit što je to što si ti tu radio i kako ti mogu pomoći da poboljšaš drugi puta. Pa jedino je rast bitan. Od tapšanja po glavi možemo se samo uronit u pijesak i umrijeti. Uvijek ima nešto novo što možemo naučiti. Bar ja tako gledam. Super mi je to što radiš, samo nastavi, baš sam ponosna kako si se sav predao muzici.
