Blackout fun!

I know, I know! You’re probably thinking, how can having no electricity for two days be fun??
Apart from the fact that this is a common occurrence around where I’m from, being cut out from the rest of the world actually brings a few unexpected surprises. No internet, as in no google, no Facebook, no laptops, no phone, no lights at night, no nothing! and it was fun? Let me explain! Here’s what I did during this time:

1.Spend quality time with family.
We got around to spending some great moments with family since no one had a phone to constantly look at, or a TV show to watch. We were left with Monopoly as a source of entertainment, and me whopping everyone’s ass at it was extra fun, not to talk of rubbing my victory in their faces. Lol

1. Reconnected with nature.
   Being cut off from the internet gets you creative on ways to have fun. I found myself taking a walk to some really beautiful places, and having some quality time with mother nature. Too bad I can’t show you pictures. My phone was dead. Lol

2. Rediscovered the use of the brain.
   Yeah, remember that super powerful computer we all happen to have between our ears and most of us forget to use because we are busy googling stuff? Yeah. I started using that more and it turns out, it still works! Lol

3. Read a book: So, threes this book I’ve been wanting to finish for the past couple of-no, like forever. Finally got around to reading and finishing it!

Are electricity blackouts not awesome? We should get more of these things more often. (No, I don’t really mean that. Please!)
