An unusual ordinary best breakfast at Starling Mall Beverage Bar

As a first timer doing food review in #tasteem, I find it difficult to start, to even begin with a proper restaurant. Sometimes when I visited some unique place, I tend to forgot to snap picture of the restaurant, sometimes I forgot to take the menu, sometimes even worst. When food is served, the next 2 minutes they're gone. Totally forgotten to take a beautiful shot for the nice food I'm about to review.

Beverage bar is a snack kitchen located at Starling Mall Damansara Uptown, at the 4th floor of the shipping complex food court. The last I checked, this is not a franchise store, so I guess I'm safe to make review for this restaurant. Price for breakfast set is NOT on the cheap side. Matter of fact, it's more pricier then most traditional restaurant. Since I was left with the childrens, I guess this is the most acceptable for both small children, young adults and old children(myself), toastbread and soft-boiled eggs.

Preparation time is extremely short. Time taken less than 5 minutes to get my coffee done, two glasses of cold chocolate malt drink. Toast bread will take sometime according to the kitchen lady. Because she need time to prep the bread to make sure they're crunchy and tasty instead of hard to chew.

Whilst waiting for the toast bread, let's get on and verify the receipt. 3 sets of breakfast set, including 3 drinks, 3 sets of toast bread and 3 pair of soft boiled eggs. By changing the drinks from tea or coffee, to other drinks will incurred extra charges according to the breakfast menu. But that's OK, rather than going to the vegan shop and ended up the kids show me long face the entire morning.

Let's crack some eggs! And the egg is not too hot, this is more towards my liking. I don't really like freshly boiled eggs as they're really hot, not easy to peel. I have every reason to believe the kitchen precooked these eggs, otherwise they won't be able to serve it ever so quickly. Anyway, if you do not like lukewarm soft-boiled eggs, you better tell the kitchen to make you a pair of freshly booked eggs. To me, they're just nice. I can put a few drops of soy sauce and dust some pepper and had then swallowed immediately.

The little monsters picked a sit right behind the escalator, so they can see people passing by, on the other hand to show off other people what we eat. Air condition is around 26'c I believe, lightly warmish but not to an extend of sweating. This happen to most if not all shopping mall as the air condition is set to regulate the temperature across the entire building. Denser cold air would sunk to the lower level of the building.

After some 5 minutes, the toast bread a ready, with butter spread and kaya spread. If you have no idea what a kaya is, it's a local made coconut milk with multiple spice leaf spread. We are going to dive down to that next time. For now, it's time to enjoy a crunchy, well spread butter and kaya toast bread.

What happen to butter when it's heated up? Spreading butter on a toasted bread would soften it, built dipping the toasted bread with butter spread into soft-boiled eggs would melt it! I don't know how are you going to resist this, but this is one hell of a way to enjoy a marvelous breakfast here in Malaysia.

You don't have to believe the full of sh!t I wrote in this article, but children facial expression doesn't lie! This is how good it is.

And to wrap this up with the final gulp of malt chocolate drink. According to juniors, they're very well prepared. Lightly sweeten but they do not believe this is the "M" brand malt chocolate drink from "N" company. Allow me not to mention the name, because any other restaurant in Malaysia uses that brand to market their malt chocolate drinks. I have no idea whether they're M brand, but I took a sip, they're good. Lastly, I forgot to snap a photo of my coffee individually. They're good, and I finished it before I remember to snap photo.
