Pizza Burger at Shakeys
Helloooooooooooooo Tastemians! I hope you're hungry cuz I am.
Guess what????! Im back at SHAKEYS!!!
Oh well, the restaurant do offers a lot of my favorite pizza and pasta meals. Plus they have provided us a complimentary/discount card that we can avail a few discounts off our bill each time we dine in. That is why, I cant help but keep coming back for more. Even my family, this is one of their top choice when PIZZA is what we wanted to eat.
The Venue
However, this time we had dined at a different location. Last time it was at located at Robinson's Marasabaras. And now, we are at Robinson's North.
The place is a little smaller that what we have before and a little cozy. They have a different aura of the place and I like the hanging lamps they have, more like rustic lamps.
They also have posted a few on their walls that had caught my attention. Most of which are clippings from old newspaper of the history of Shakeys.
The Food

Have you ever imagine to have BURGER in your PIZZA???
I had never thought of it till now, too. I kept wondering how the pizza would actually look like. It took like more than 30 minutes of waiting for the pizza. We were really excited for it.
It really has 100% pure angus beef and melted cheeze all over and topped with fresh onions and tomatoes and lettuce. What a delight! Plus its thin crust. Yum yum yum!

We also ordered one more pizza flavor for the kids. They wanted a plain pizza, that is the only pizza they know. You know pineapple and ham toppings----- that is their definition of pizza. Kids just want it simple and plain. Who needs complication? Hahahaha..

My Verdict
Nothing beats eating Pizza at Shakeys. They don't disappoint us in satisfying our empty and hungry tummys with our cravings. Though the prize is a little pricey but every slice is worth it.
I like how I can still hear the crunchiness of their thin crust in my every bite. The kids loves it too.
Overall, it was great dining it! Again, surely I will be back for more especially if they have new flavors in their menu to try on.

As a Kid in Rapid City South Dakota, the highlight of our Sunday was going to Shakeys pizza. The had a player Piano and would show black and white silent movies of a bad guy tying a girl to the railroad tracks and other mischief. The hero always saved the day.
I have a funny story I will tell you sometime about an event that happened there one time.
My most favorite thing they had was the round breaded potatoes that were deep fried. This was back in the 80's so I am sure they have a new menu. I woul dtravel a long way to have Shakey's pizza again.
Oh wow! You are being nostalgic.. hehe. Its great to remember the old times. Kids needs to have memories that will last our lifetime..

Oh and they had special red balloons with an old timey guy on them and cardboard feet so the balloon wouldnt tip over. .....not my story but I can sebd tomorrow. Do they still have the breaded potatoes?
Yes they still have I think its what they called MOJOs.. no pictures though because my kids had devoured them before I got the chance to snap a shot.. 😂🤣

You have to find the nearest Shakeys!! A lot has already changed. It will be good to eat while you are feeling a bit nostalgic.. and when you do found one, do tell us about it!!!
