Food Sharing #119 - Taste of the Country @ Hunter Valley, Australia
Hi Everyone
Another trip to the Hunter Valley and today we I’m taking you to a cafe we like to visit when we visit the area. They have some really big portions for breakfast and have really lovely staff. This place is called Taste of The Country
Let’s have a look at the menu first. Plenty to choose from you are spoilt for choices.
We ordered a kids sausage on toast, big breakfast, eggs Benedict and bacon and egg roll. Tea and coffee of course with the breakfast. Here comes the food. The waitstaff gave our kids some chocolate tiny teddies with their breakfast so its like a special treat after their eat their breakfast! Very thoughtful. As you can see, the meals were huge!
First my big breakfast was massive. 3 sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, tomatoes, spinish … you get the picture. I don’t think you go wrong with a big breakfast as everything is pretty straight forward. The bacon and egg roll was huge as well and there were plenty of bacon. You can choose to have BBQ or tomato sauce or no sauce. Great value for money. Lastly, the eggs benedict was substantial. Not as huge as our other meals we ordered but more of a “normal” sizing. One person can eat that comfortably.
Food wise, I would give it an average. In terms of price, it is not considered cheap but definitely value for money for the size you get for each meal. You can easily feed two people with the big breakfast I ordered. The service here is friendly and you are looked after well. Lastly, the interior of the cafe is really nicely decorated. You can tell that they have put a lot of thought into this to give their customer a home feel when they come in and eat their meals.
