Colorful Canoes
This is my Third entry for the Photochain Photography Contest where this weeks theme is Vibrant and colorful.

On a Visit to Gantry Plaza State Park in Queens recently i came across these colorful Canoes, stackd up on the side of the walkway which where hard to miss with there vibrant colors.

At the time I thought it was kind of strange them being stacked up like this and wondered if there was some event on thta day. but later on a found they are actually an art piece, hence them being tied down like they were.
I thought it was cool, and different, but not my favorite art piece i have sene around the city.

I would have to agree with you 100% - I think it is pretty cool and very colorful, but, definitely not my kind of art. ;)

okay wow, I don't think I have ever seen canoes this colorful before haha. This is awesome!
@mrchef111 IT was kind of cool but I am still not sure its what I call art :)
hahaha Art is in the eye of the beholder right? lol I just thought it was a bit unique to see so many colors on canoes. lol usually they are all one color and pretty dull looking. haha
@mrchef111 Yeah they are unique for sure, and yes without a doubt art is in the eye of the beholder, thats why even if i dont like a particular piece ofr appreciate it I generally get shots someone else may love it
That is a good strategy, just take cool pics of stuff, even if you might not appreciate it as much. haha good thing there are plenty of things to take pictures of in New York! haha
@mrchef111 Ohh yes I am always finding new stuff to take photos of, well except for days like today when it was cloudy and raining all day
oh I jump for joy when we have cloudy rainy days here. lol :)

What a wonderful splash of vibrant colors! Thanks for sharing! Most days all I see is the functional (the canoes), but sometimes my mind opens up to see the art.
