Technology is causing some disturbing trends among children, however. The internet has made rampant cheating in high school classes far too easy (although the same tech allows me to catch them, it wastes everyone's time--time that could be spent learning.) Reading skills and attention spans are down, too. The brain processes screen text differently than physical text. Tech is changing children's developing brains just as surely as if we gave them Borg implants. Time will tell what we are gaining v. losing.
