Last week we made a post asking for some suggestions for a show to binge watch before the endless business of holiday season officially began. We were not surprised that other people were finding that while there is plenty of quantity, Netflix and other streaming giants aren’t offering much quality television. So if you are looking for something to watch, we found a show that surprised us by not being entirely awful.

Travelers is a time travel show in which the last surviving humans in the distant future have found a way to implant their consciousnesses into the bodies of 21st century people in an effort to save the future of humanity. These future humans assume the lives and identities of the present day “hosts”, and all the comes along with these lives, including drug addiction, disabilities, abusive spouses, etc. The characters of the traveler team that stars in the show all turn out to be wonderfully charming, and the adventures that ensue from their time travel mission are interesting and engrossing.

It may not be mind-blowingly beautiful (like Maniac) or edge of your seat riveting (like Game of Thrones) or a perfect blend of adventure, terror, and heart string pulling emotion (like Stranger Things), but it is perfectly okay television. Even better than perfectly okay, it’s fairly good. And even if the paradoxical time travel of this universe and irritating subplots of the characters get under your skin, you still might have fun trying to find the loopholes the show has created for itself or counting every trope (there’s plenty!) that you might catch in a single episode.

The good news is that there is a whole new season arriving on the fourteenth of this month, so when you finish binging the two available seasons, you will have more waiting for you soon.

Wow, I missed out on your post last week, but just started to follow you so that I will not miss out on posts from you in the future! But, I am not sure if it was mentioned, but if you want to have a series to binge watch on Netflix before Christmas, I can warmly recommend Stranger, a Korean TV series consisting of 16 parts, each lasting 66 minutes. It is a crime series, and it kind of reminds me of the Swedish series The Bridge (Broen).

I actually wrote about it earlier today, you can find the article here.

But, I haven't watched Travelers myself, so I will take that into consideration as well :)

Awesome! I will definitely check it out!

Superb, i think netflix is getting popular due to your post. thats my line.
