I should note as well that the oil painting behind me was done by my aunt Fran, who was my dad's best friend from 6th grade on, and one of my favorite people in the world.

She was also hilarious, and a huge Lakers fan, well into her 90s. Sharp as a tack, she was, up until the end. ;-)
