Yeah it can get frustrating especially when you put your all into the said content and you get a not so encouraging reception of it.Like you said consistence pays off .
I wouldn't assume it has anything to do with the content in most cases, specially with how easy it is for a post to go unnoticed on Steemit. Could just be the right people were not online at that moment, or tons of ppl posted at the same time. Keep doing your best and when someone spots your news post and go to look at your page, the will see you have been making great posts in the past, and that will likely get them to follow you.

What we call our best is somewhat only a testament to greater things we can do.
It is like a window to an expanse of skies, limitless.
Since you referring to the market, I can say that just like any investement you gotta also think long term. Sometimes there's a big dip and it sucks and hurts, but what you are doing is long term...It's just hard to look passed it all but we gotta look at the bigger picture! And I would agree it's pretty crazy of you to be out there in the snow haha! 😆

I feel this way myself. My followers have grown, but my post rewards just kind of stay the same. I think about quitting, but then I figure what will it hurt to just do one more post. Maybe this will be the one that scores big. So the cycle continues... It's tough to get noticed in Steemit these days with so many posts flooding the platform at once.
I agree. However don't quit. One day, it will all be worth it. Whether it's because 4 years down the road you go viral, or 2 years down the road you put all the skills you learned here to use on a new platform.
