Seems like, generally, southern and western states have less regulation, lower taxes, and a lower over all cost of living as long as you stay away from the big cities.

I never cared for them anyway. Hank Williams Jr. Summed it up pretty well in a line of one of his songs "....Just send me to hell or New York City, it'd be about the same to me..." Just insert a city with a pop. Of over 500,000. Lol.
