The Essence of Japan and Nature
Japan and nature is a longly cherished relationship that has been uprooted in society from early beginnings. The essence of people, society, and nature is like a breathing bidirectional beacon of hope that feeds and nourishes everything in existence.
Japan packs so many people into such a small area, yet nature does not cease to exist, even in the most urban areas. The people have had to coexist with nature, and animals readily adapted as necessary. The two have coincided and act as a symbolic meaning for life’s purest existence.
Many animals in Japan have become so comfortable with daily human life, they have become local celebrities. Deer, for example, roam around and walk right up to humans as if they were one of their own. No one hurts the deer because they are sought as sacred. Many believe the deer to be Messengers of the Gods.
The deer have started to take advantage of their sacred title by selfie bombing, eating human food when unexpected, and even chasing humans for the hell of it.
One thing for certain, however, is that courtesy and respect goes a long way in Japan. This feature, regardless the situation in nature, holds true in any scenario at hand.

From most of what I have read and heard, there's a lot more harmony between humans and nature in Japan... quite a bit of the traditional architecture seems to be about "inviting the outside in" too.

They have embraced such interaction with nature. It is almost a way of living more than anything else. The people show respect and nature responds accordingly... except I guess for the 5000 + earthquakes and tremors per year 😳
