From most of what I have read and heard, there's a lot more harmony between humans and nature in Japan... quite a bit of the traditional architecture seems to be about "inviting the outside in" too.

They have embraced such interaction with nature. It is almost a way of living more than anything else. The people show respect and nature responds accordingly... except I guess for the 5000 + earthquakes and tremors per year 😳
