Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Church of Saints Kyrill and Methodius, Karlín, Prague. The city of Karlín was founded in 1817. It was an industrial city and very rich. The name The city of Karlín was founded in 1817. It was an industrial city and very rich. The name (Karolinenthall) was acquired after the fourth wife of the reigning Emperor Francis, Carolina. The massive church in the style of the late Romanesque basilica was built from a public collection in the 1850s. It was one of the largest religious buildings in Bohemia in this times.

Sedlec Ossuary
It’s a small Catholic chapel, located under the Cemetery Church of All Saints. It is estimated to contain the skeletons of about 40,000 people, whose bones have, in many cases, been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
There is a huge chandelier, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body. It hangs from the center with garlands of skulls draping the vault. The chapel is surrounded by graves of people from 1800s. You will finish a thorough visit of this church in about 15-20 mins.

Close-up shot of the Old Town Bridge Tower, an impressive gothic monument located in the center of Prague. It was built in the late 14th century, during the rule of the Emperor Charles IV. Designed by the architect Petr Parléř, it is a popular tourist landmark of the Czech capital.

Last summer I had the pleasure of spending a couple weeks in Prague. I met up with the one and only @phorton and his girl @liltammy. I travel the world and love to take real life photos. Here is a little real life and architecture on the streets of Prague from the World Travel Pro!

Divoká Šárka is a beautiful valley and nature reserve at the edge of Prague 6, so not far from the city center. You can find there total escape from the noise of the metropoly. The name means Wild Sarka, after the mythic female warrior who allegedly threw herself off one of the cliffs.

We have been traveling to Krumlov every year for about 12 years and there is always something we have never seen before. It is a beautiful historic city with endless corners that hide the treasures of our history. The only damage is the endless crowds of tourists, but the city has such a charm that it can be forgiven and worth a visit.

The historical center of Český Krumlov is a concept. It is a very nice historical center with a view of the castle, which is closed in the heart of the Vltava. The center can only be reached on foot when paid parking is in its vicinity. It is true that prices in the center depend on the fact that a total of about 2,000,000 tourists a year come to this city mainly from abroad. Who wants to eat cheaply will find a possibility.

Former barracks, New Town, Prague
P1100296.JPG
Stone houses stood here from the 11th century. But I'll skip. In the 17th century a Capuchin monastery was built here. Emperor Joseph II. abolished the monastery and made a barracks from the building.
In the middle of the 19th century, almost the entire building was demolished and lined with a neo-Gothic building. It remained in this form until 1993.
Then the barracks were sold to a private investor who tore them down. Newly, only the facade you see in the photo was built. Behind the front is a labyrinth of glass and concrete.

The Prague Castle is a beauty as well as everything that it has inside, it is worth going, it is a very well preserved monument, like everything that is around, I was lucky enough to see the changing of the guard 💂♀️. The Castle very nice and the cathedral not to mention, although you have to pay to see it complete has access to its interior where you can see from afar its charms.

We have been in several places; a part of a church, monastery, or catacombs, where they have had many bones, but this is the most unusual. Because of the huge number of people who were buried or entombed here the entire church is decorated often artistically with the bones. Something to see if going to Kutna Hora which is a very attractive small town.

The Old Town Square is one of the most famous and visited points of the Capital. With fairs, old buildings and, the famous clock, high point of the place. The Prague Astronomical Clock is the most visited attraction in the city. It has three hands that indicate not only the hours but also the position of the Sun and the Moon. It is beautiful, besides being one of the oldest watches in the world! Being one of the main attractions of Prague. Well worth it.
