7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #23 – winner announcement!

@h2odigital Asian Sunday entry:

This is a picture of The Petrona Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They were the tallest building in the world until 2004. I went all the way to the top and it was a good experience, but it was raining and the views weren't that good. However, the view of the building from groundlevel did not disappoint. It is an amazing building!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #23 – winner announcement!

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

In Arrowtown (NZ), there is a 4x4 track going up in the mountains. You'll have to cross about 20 plus rivers to reach the end of it which is an old gold mining station. All along the way the scenery is just stunning. Location: Arrowtown, New Zealand.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans week #23 – winner announcement!

@eaglest Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

One of the most beautiful beaches of Tenerife is Playa de Almaciga. This coast with lots of cliffs and rocks and steep mountains is a stunning location. For this image I waited until the lights of the town of Almaciga started to shine. The glowing town makes a nice contrast to the dark mountains behind.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #23 – winner announcement!

@ansharphoto African Wednesday entry:

Dunes of Sossusvlei, Namibia. In Sossusvlei, the wonder is the land itself. The area is famous for its massive sand dunes, sculpted and smoothed by the wind in a desert completely devoid of surface water. The same winds that create the dunes also change them, and the sinuous lines and forms that amaze today may be different tomorrow. Even their colors change, the striking terra cotta easing into browns and beiges as the sun waxes and wanes.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #23 – winner announcement!

@liseykina European Thursday entry:

Warshaw, Poland. This in sunrise at the square in old town of Warshaw.
This part of town was completele reconstructed after WWII but despite the fact that there are no ancient buildings here is very cozy and nice. These bright colors in the dawn sky made me run out of the hotel room almost barefoot. Had to hurry to reach the desired point of shooting until the sky is not extinguished.

I love this Puerto Vallarta sign along El Malecon Boardwalk. This is a very popular place where tourists take photos non-stop. So during my visit I decided to get there earlier one morning to beat everyone and get a clean photo without people in it. The only drawback is that half the sign is still in shadows. I guess it's the tradeoff for an empty boardwalk.

That is a cool spot !

AthabascaGlacierSunset.jpg

Sunset traverse up to the Athabasca Glacier. Life it seams is most precious in the quiet meditative space between destinations. The journey needs to be serene as the destination is ultimately fleeting. Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

Beautiful image, fabulous scenery. Thank you for sharing with everyone.

There you are hehe, I like the sun rays.

This calm sunset was taken in Jasper National park, Alberta. The Rockies always has some amazing sights to pleasure the eye, each time having a different look or feel. The still lake offered the perfect reflection of the colorful skies.

So peaceful! Stunning entry. Jasper seems to be popular in today´s challenge:)....

hehe yes it would appear that way, it's no wonder, jasper is a stunning National park and is actually quite big with many wonders to offer, I've spent quite a bit of time there over the years and I'm not even close to having it all explored. Thank you for running the contest it really helps with exposure.

Lower Cathedral Lake after a Passing Thunderstorm

The Cathedral Peak and Lakes are one of the most photogenic places in Yosemite National Park. I've seen many photographs of amazing sunrises and sunsets of various hues and colors in the sky. I had to see it for myself so I did a two-day backcountry camping trip the lakes.

As soon as I finished pitching my tent a freak thunderstorm came but it only lasted for 10 or so minutes. Soon the clouds started to dissipate and it was during sun down. The skies began to take on multiple colors from yellow to orange and eventually to this reddish pink hue you see here.

Just shot of words! Amazing image!

A very cold and eerily quiet night time scene along the Chicago River. I had to wear layer upon layer upon layer to cope with the temperatures. Nothing like a mug of hot cocoa to warm me up though!

Chicago looks amazing at night and you captured it really well!

The beauty of the sky during sunset, coupled with the beauty of the glaciers and the mountains at Denali National Park, Alaska. Clicked this picture from the plane that takes you around Mt. Denali. Got some other good pictures but I like how the moon sneaked up in this one.

Beautiful image! Welcome to Steemit and my challenge! Tomas

Thank you Tomas.

A nighttime selfie with lightpainting on a large scale in Arches National Park, Utah. This was a fun one, and took a lot of time because I had to keep running around adjusting my lights (I was alone and that rock in the background was about a five minute walk away).

Thank you! :)

This is the night Skyline of Vancouver in Canada. It is the most beautiful city I have ever visited. Vancouver is also the fifth best city in the world for quality of life. Right in front of the skyline waterplanes take off and land during the day...

New York. I could live here...
To me, this realisation is what makes for a perfect destination. The feeling that you belong somewhere, even when it is on the other side of the world, is why I travel. This shot is from Brooklyn looking back towards Manhattan during one of the best sunsets I've ever seen.

Welcome to the challenge! You have made some entrance with this amazing image. I just checked your portfolio which looks amazing. Hope to see you back! Tomas

Thank you very much! It's one of my favourite shots of one of my favourite cities!

Sunrise at Mono Lake use. This is amazing shallow saline soda lake in California with very interestion tufa-formations that looks like satrange castles and skyscrappers. The lake has no fish; instead it is home to trillions of brine shrimp and alkali flies

Wow. That looks amazing.

Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!
