Beer AND Cheese: A brew for @meesterboom- Boom-Scotch-A-Locka!
While perusing the events at http://www.fingerlakeswinecountry.com/ my eyes fell upon a call from Heaven.
A cheese fest.
At a brewery.
Cheese and Beer? Someone f*&cking loves me!!
I've only been to this brewery once when it first opened because...well it's the very last one on the trail heading into Watkins Glen and I just never make it that far!
But that changes after yesterday, this place RAWKS!
Tables lined every wall of the back room...so many varieties of mouthwatering goodness
(Poor Mama Dreemit taken off guard by a chunk of Habanero cheese, hee)
We grabbed a table and stashed our goods,
then went back in for sweet, sweet beer!
And as we waited for our flight I did a double take at the sign...
Me Boom, this brewery calls to you! Come to NY and party with @dreemit!

Seriously hard pressed to find a more beautiful sight than this...and the scenery isn't bad either!
Mmm, just mmmm.
And did I mention it's family friendly? Little Boom and Little Lady type creatures everywhere I looked!

Poor Mama Dreemit got a wee bit confused by these signs...she went right, yes she did, and got an eyeful...
...of something like this- Which happened to strangely be the sole picture hanging in the women's bathroom
...and I just realized HAHAHAAAHAAAA, MY HAND!! Holy freaking Ass Grab!!
There was a decent band playing classic and alternative rock...
...so we decided to stay in after our potty break.
(Plus it was getting a wee bit chilly out there.)
Mom decided to order a pizza
and a glass of Jabberwocky wine
which left me double fisting
her barely touched beer and mine...

Okay, so I usually really suck at taking video, which is why I keep it brief, but the beer really did make me awesome cuz this clip rawks!

Finally I remembered to take a picture of the food- I was seriously ON yesterday! (Fresh Mozzarella and Pesto, yummy!)
And I even got my perfect ending shot. What a cool ass freaking day!

That place looks awesome! I'm glad you were able to stumble upon the event when you did! Not only did we get a Mama Dreemit sighting, but we also get a @dreemit sighting that's not in a bathroom haha! Hope you gals had the time of your lives!
Another place for you to look forward to visiting, it is awesome! Of course with a beer name like that I had to dedicate this to Boom haha, but wouldn't it be the freaking best if you guys could visit at the same time?

And the views! In that video where you turn to the window and you see the sun hanging low over the water. It looks flipping magic.

It is indeed a gorgeous part of the country. @dreemit, nothing like a gorgeous (gorges) day to be wine-trailing it! boomie- this area has tons of gorges so the local saying is that the finger lakes are gorges! lolz
Lots of Ithaca is Gorges bumper stickers around here ;) They've been working on Watkins Glen gorge for the past year, if I get lucky with weather I'm definitely going to hike and photo bomb it, otherwise it will be a Spring post, but I did hike through Hector this weekend so a little mini falls post is coming :)

Oh yeah, I probably should have said something about how it tasted hahaha! Yes, it was delicious, had a hint of malted chocolate and very smooth!
I understand about the separation of beer and babies, lol, but the atmosphere in these places isn't like a bar exactly, probably because they close by 6pm so you can catch a great afternoon buzz but not get completely stupid :)

Most of the wineries and breweries I've been to have been family friendly, they'd get more people staying there for longer and spending more money that way I guess XD

It was and he does! :) I guess growing up the wineries were family friendly, but we just didn't have any breweries around when I was young- and they have upped the ante with the outdoor games and such. Actually there were three couples with babies in there, one of them was only seven weeks old!
I totally could! She's up for anything these days, it's fun :)
Another fun day for one and all! Has Mama Dreemit lost some weight? Her face looks thinner, or different somehow, and I don't think it's just the glasses. The photo of her with the pizza - she looks extra gorgeous!
Yes, she's definitely lost some weight, she also started going to a new hairdresser and has a more flattering style :-)
