RE: Prague/Czech Republic - Friday photo challenge - share your personal pictures from your visit to the Czech Republic!
Karlovy Vary is a famous resort town in the west of the Czech Republic. The famous resort is surrounded by low mountains covered with 100-year-old deciduous forests (mostly beech trees). There are numerous paths for hiking and cycling along the mountains, which are kept in perfect order and clean. Its historical part, where numerous hotels and sanatoria are located, is an absolutely fabulous town with very decorative architecture. Most of the buildings were built in the 19th century by Austrian architects, when the Czech Republic was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the city itself was called Carlsbad.
