Nice post - didn't realize that parts of New York state have been hit this bad over the years as well. Reminds me a lot of what I saw in eastern Massachusetts as well in cities like Fall River and New Bedford. Unfortunately there are towns and small cities scattered throughout the northern states that once upon a time were industrial strengths for our great country that have fallen on rough scenes like the pictures you shared above.
