in #traveltip6 years ago (edited)

Dear Steemit friends and followers,

Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.

Today, I will take you to what considered one of the best pieces of Saxon architecture in the Czech Republic, the famous Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex.

Located in the historic center of the little town of Benesov nad Ploucnici in the northern part of the country, the Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex is a unique chateau complex consisting of seven historic buildings - two chateaus (the Upper Chateau and the Lower Chateau), three palaces, one church and one chapel.

With its origin dating back to the early 16th century when the town became the official seat of the noble Saxon family of the Salhausens, the complex is now owned and governed by the National Landmark Institution of the Czech Republic that also gave it the status of the National Cultural Landmark.

The Benešov Chateau complex rightly ranks among the most remarkable monuments of Saxon Renaissance architecture in the Czech Republic. It consists of six structures, including the parish Church of the Virgin´s Nativity.

Thank you, for sharing, those beautiful places in your country

Very beautiful place that you promote. The castle complex in BenešovnadPloučnicíin North Bohemia is a unique example of the architecture of the Late Gothic period of Vladislav II, a Renaissance hybrid known as the Saxon Renaissance, thus it rightly ranks among the most important preserved monuments of the Czech Republic.

Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex

A complex name to pronounce :D

I think Parague has buildings which have a shape of castles and yet again you have shared a complex but it looks like a castle!

Im just wondering? If that image have source, where is the website? It is not clear for me as Amateur Curator...

What an image. Wonderful place to visit. The photography is awesome. Brillaint shot. Czech republic has some wonderful scneries and architectural pieces loved by many. Quality post. Keep up the good work.

Hi Tomas, It's been almost a month we did not interact as i was busy in my routine work. Suddenly, your post appeared in my feed and i am writing to you.

I do personally feel that Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex is an asset for the country specifically for the students who are studying the architecture. Due to this fact, this place became more remarkable ..

unique chateau complex consisting of seven historic buildings - two chateaus (the Upper Chateau and the Lower Chateau), three palaces, one church and one chapel.

Thank you so much for showing the wonderful side of your country. Stay blessed :)

A GOOD PUBLICITY IS IN PLACE, YOUR COUNCILS ARE VERY USEFUL

I would have absolutely loved to say that I am adding this to my this years travel list but frankly I am not sure of the time period of my stay in Europe. Between my residence permit and work issues, there might be good chance that I might leave in the next few months without being able to visit any place else.

Although if I stay, then please consider this place as marked in my 'to visit' calendar :-)

EDIT: From what I can see in Internet this place is definitely one to take out the time to visit. I also have a little grasp of the architecture so personally I would be able appreciate this place a lot.

It is a great and ancient piece of architecture, as always your this tip is also a good one. The place has a historic value. What about the rest of the four months, why it remains close?
