In recent years we have been accustomed to winter starting after January. I thought this was due to global warming (in my childhood winter started in November).
This year, quite unexpectedly, winter started in mid-November!

In the Garden of Life, certainly there are beautiful trees. The Trees of Life, because without them there would be no life!
Well, why did I remember the beginning of winter? Because now, in January, it seems that the autumn came back. Only cold nights remind us that we are close to the middle of winter.
In fact, not only the cold but also the fact that the trees have no leaves. Their image has changed profoundly. I like it even though their unbleached branches resemble the witches' hands.
Still, in the sunlight, the trees look much more friendly, as they are, in fact.
Nothing in the green color. Only the ivy that lives on the back of the trees. Although it bothers me, that it is a parasitic plant, I want a spot of color.
These trees grow in a park. Herastrau Park in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.There is the most comfortable and enjoyable place to see and admire. They are very old trees, the remains of a huge forest. Forest that was cut to make the city's place. It was called Codrii Vlasiei, the name of the forest!
The walk in the park was long and I was caught by the twilight. The twilight of winter comes very quickly and it's a little scary. Luckily we wasn't in the woods!
So you don't think it's winter? Me neither! Still it's winter so this post is also for #seasonchallenge - Winter!
I really like when I can "solve" more than one challenge with a post. Like now!

Gorgeous shots Winte FHA’s bene a strange one for us as well we had a good fall of snow in October then hardly nay since and the temperatures keep bouncing all over the place, makes it hard for one to adjust I think its easier when the temps go cooland stay cool this up and down gets to me

I agree, a pity more people and politicians cannot see it and take the steps needed, I think the term global warming is part of the problem so many see cold spells and go there that proves there is no global warming climate change is a much more accurate term
Yes, it is the problem of our days and our children, they will be the most affected.
Sadly that is so true it’s a worry what kind of world we are going to leave them

Thank you for this amazing post. You remembered how much I love trees, with leaves or spoiled by their green garment.
And the ivy climbing on the tree trunk is such a wonderful image. Did you know that die to its parasite nature, ivy is the symbol of love and friendship? Also, because its leaves remain green for a long time, ivy is also seen as a symbol of the nature's power. 🙂

I have ivy around the house and I constantly struggle to keep it away from the roof. It will surely break some tiles and I cannot have it.
That means they are very large, long ... it had happened to me with a Glicina ( Wisteria). Very beautiful but dangerous for the house.

Interesting how the forest was cleared to make the city. It must be long time ago?
Nice shots and the ivy, even being a parasite looks nice when there is nothing else in green.
The forest starts been cut to 1600, but mostly since the nineteenth century.
