RE: What Anarchy Means To Me: Bi-Weekly @tribesteemup Question

in #tribesteemup6 years ago (edited)

I don't know much, but I have a completely different picture of what anarchy is...the non-aggression principle, self-reliance, agree to disagree but never harm anyone, voluntaryist principles, individual self-ownership, survival skills like gardening and sustainable energy resourcing, learning how to be independent and so much more goodness. I'd recommend @kafkanarchy84's channel if anyone want to learn more about what TRUE anarchism is.

definitely. this is the vision i have of it too and we are seeking to live that out and empower others also in the process!

Hate to tell you @kaliju, but the definition of Anarchy existed way before this fake modern version. Anarchy comes from the Greek "Anarchos" meaning "no ruler". It's definition (Websters) really means "social disorder". It was sold to the population as a Psych Program using the "Sex Pistols" as 'ambassadors'. The meaning then translated to the populace was "violence against the establishment". This is the "automatic response" and recognized meaning of the word Anarchy. For any educated person this is the meaning that has been programmed into their minds. The fact that everyone is trying to re-define its meaning to suit their own idealism is proof in my mind that the Psy-Op is working as intended.

As long as you use the word Anarchy, you will continually be fighting for the meaning of the word and not your personal ideals.

Choose a different word. Anarchy has been taken.

That's very insightful and that is indeed the original meaning of anarchy as I have come to know it. But like I said, I was recently exposed to this different definition of it and I just seem to like the direction it's taking a lot better. Thanks for the comment, definitely something to keep in mind.
