Burstcoin Solo Mining Experiment and Monitoring Burst and Ether

Hello Friends!

solo experiment burst.png

Ok so in this screenshot you can see a small experiment of mine in Burstcoin Solo mining.
Now at that time I had 26858 GB or 26.8 TB, now I have over 38 TB.
I started the program for 3-4 hours and then I checked my screen to see my stats and this is what I saw.
My chance to find a block started from 0.005% and went up to little bit over 0.009%

It was a good experiment but of course this is still not a viable solution for the moment for me.

Monitoring the Burstcoin Mining Pools

Now just write the burst mining pool in your web search bar, for me it was this one:

https://50-50-pool.burst.cryptoguru.org/

Ok so in this image you can see that my effective mining is increasing slow but sure, now it is over 36 tb and soon it will be the actual 38 tb.

At the time that I was monitoring my rig I saw Crypto Froggie or @kirakero (I hope I got here account right she made very good videos on burstcoin mining on youtube)

At the time of making this post I saw 1tb increase so that is great !

For GPU mining you can use these sites:

https://whattomine.com/coins

There you can put ou gpu-s and see what is the estimated profit and most profitable coin to mine-

My card is rx 570 and calculation:

eth.png

eth2.png

I can say that the calculation is accurate in my case

Now I also made some changes to increase my hashrate from 14.2 Mh/s on ether mining to 15.2 15.3 Mh/s

I wrote in my previous post that I experimented claymore dual ether/dered miner.
I Noticed that decred had a very big difficulty and so I deleted it from the STAR.BAT file

Now the command for START.bat is as follows:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x

This makes the dual miner into a simple ether miner.
Please notice that ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F is just and example wallet address and you will have to put your own address.

The wallet started to mine ether just fine and in few seconds I got some shares

In this screenshot you can see my shares

Now for education purposes only I share with you also how much 15 MH/s of Ether mining will cost on trusted cloud mining sites:

15 mh hashflare.png

On Hashflare a 15 MH/s contract for 1 Year will be 270 $ currently one of the cheapest. (But for the moment is limited)

ccg.png

On CCG Mining a 15 MH contract for 2 Years will be 419.85 $

Pros and cons

Pros

On both companies there is NO maintenance for ether mining.

Cons

Limited time
Different prices

Now if you have at home a ether miner and mine in a pool.

  • You help the ether ecosystem
  • the gains are virtually unlimited (as your miner will be alive)
  • can stop at any moment and re purpose the gpus or sell them for better ones to build a better miner.
-CAN find a block and have a big split of the rewards.

Cons:

Noise
Heat
mental stress ( if you are close to the miner...or God forbid it is actually in your room)
electric bill

If you want to pick a contract on CCG Mining :

Or a contract on hashflare :

Until next time I will end my message here and I do hope it was to some use to you! Cynetyc Out!

Wow 😢the prices vary a lot...but at least there are no maintenance fees. 😄

Excellent article @cynetyc !
I see Hashflare still has very cheap and competitive prices .

As always a great article there @cynetyc...a bit to tech for me but still a great and respectable contribution.

Awesome tutorial video! Burstcoin Solo Mining is best, that really experiments. Thankyou for telling us! Always appreciated your hard work!

Pretty impressive guidance of Burstcoin. Well explained here by you and understand easily. Thanks @cynetyc.

Hello @cynetyc, I love everything related to cryptocurrencies, here in Colombia, electricity is very expensive, mining at least for me, it is not possible.
You know, I'm dedicated to my investments, I love Cardano, I have faith in this project.
Happy day :)

@cynetyc, It's being awesome lesson who want to begin burstcoin mining. Something hard to understand me. But informative. Nice you decided to share community.

But is there a way for me to calculate the likelihood of me coming up with a deadline which is less than 30 days for instance?

This has to be based of my total plot size and current network difficulty i guess.

I’m just trying to make sense of it. Because I see from my DL im offering now is anything from 30 days to 4-5 months. If I were to join BURST Ninja with a DL of max 24H I dont see myself ever getting any burst.

Usually a deadline can be a default of the pool as it is in the qbundle wallet.
It can be changed ...but the best way that I know is to increase the plot sizes (HDD) And it will be just fine.
If you do that you can see day by day that your shares will grow .
Or...if it is too much stress...at the current moment you can sell on Ebay the HDD and then you can just buy some burst ..like this you have a lot more coins that just if you would mine them.
Any step in my view will be a good step...and remember if you are not sure ...just do what is best for you.

To do the mining must be smart in predicting so it will gain profit, because the price is very volatile, to avoid losses ..
A very good post @cynetyc

I have done burst for a year and it is not profitable. it may look that way at times but when you look at who is running it, everything becomes clear. Adam "Gober" who has been sued by FB for millions of dollars and lost and ran to Canada to avoid paying has control. the coin has been out for a while and has only grown cause of the gambling factor that adam implemented, it has other avenues of use but they have been shut down or abandoned to a slow death. the gambling may sound good but the fact that gambling is the only real use of this coin lends truth to the fact that this coin is going no where fast. But if you don't believe me do your own research.

I know what happened in burst community, the good and the bad.
I support and love this coin...if they will abandon it...I will run it on my own private servers/pool.

But

Like always I just want to share my experience....there (at this moment) far more profitable coins out there like ether and Monero.
Monero has done a great thing by making a fork to not let ASICs mine it and I respect that.

I had a great time mining it and respect your opinion, like many coins I do not know what will happen in the future with it but as I see it a miner build can be re-purposed to mine another coin:

  • siacoin (hosting/mining)
  • storj (mining)
  • file coin (hosting )
There will always be new opportunities if someting bad happens to burst and if that will happen I will do my best to help the miner community from burst to find another solutions.
There is a movement even from my country for burstcoin...and they grown alot...even have a pool there:
    Burstcoin.ro ( I think).
