Project Details

Byteball is a decentralized system which allows the storage of arbitrary data in a tamper-proof storage.
Byteball offers so many features which include conditional payments, P2P payment in chat, prediction market, P2P insurance, P2P betting, chatbots, and so on.
Few months ago, I was able to claim some byte through Steem attestation bot. Byteball is a great project and I'm happy to be working on the translation of the betting bots from English to Yoruba language.

Contribution Specifications

  • Translation Overview
Almost all the words were translated from English to Yoruba. It was really tasking as I had to translate some terms used in the betting world to yoruba. My experience in betting really helped a lot.

  • Languages
The source language of the project is English language which was translated to Yoruba language. Yoruba language is the target language

  • Word Count
I translated a total of 338 words as estimated and shown in the figure below. Almost all the words were newly translated as there were no suggested translations.

Hello @fatherfaith, thanks for the contribution.

  • This is your first contribution to this project.
  • Your post is well presented.
  • Your translations is okay and I believe there is room of improvement. I noticed a case of typographical error here where you translated global to lagbaya instead of lagbaye. This is something that gives the whole sentence another meaning. I urge you to be careful and always double check your translations.
  • Overall, you did a good job and I am looking forward to see more from you.

This is a great step towards building up of the Nigerian heritage @fatherfaith. Nigerians constitute a good percentage of users of the steemit platform and will benefit from this initiative. With this, I see more Nigerians (even the aged) finding joy on steemit as currently with the facebook. I hope this scales through successfully as I see Nigerian languages/translations gaining wide acceptance on the steem ecosystem.

Kudos!

Thanks brother
