Welcome back. The new Resource Credit system is much better for the blockchain. It essentially measures how much each type transaction (upvoting, following, commenting, etc.) costs the blockchain so that we can get an accurate depiction of the real cost of operating this thing. Basically, those that require more activity on the blockchain need more bandwidth (Steem Power) whereas before, everybody was paying for everybody elses activity. This has drastically reduced spam because spammers are usually not interested in investing into the platform, therefore they can only make a few comments before running out of mana.
I am happy looking at the comment section of many posts and not seeing much spam anymore. This is awesome.
Ah right got it! Thanks! That’s awesome to hear, it’s been annoying me ever since I joined the platform! That in itself already says to me that it was worth it. DTube keeps this up and we are going to see more people here than ever before 😀😀
Oh man I’m gonna experience the everyone has different opinions thing in January - the tickets were just booked in the last two days!!! Haha it’s gonna be in-laws and sister-in-law +husband plus us that’s 7 people! Almost 8 but too hard if we bring an elderly with us too.
Hardfork was hard in the beginning week but after it got fixed up it was all good again :)
