I have revolved my life and lifestyle around it. I have my moments where I go all out surfing, then moments of not wanting to get in, but still have the desire to be near to it.
Lazy Saturday today, surf is flat for local standards, but to be fair, a longboard would rule out there. I have bread on the go, so I need to stick around the kitchen. Though I have taken the opportunity to go through photo files on my laptop. I was quite surprised to find so many and half decent at times.
I found these surf photos I took on the 23rd of June 2016. These were all taken in Lobitos, Peru. A great coastal village located on the Peruvian North coast. There is far, far more to Lobitos than surfing and will keep you here longer than anticipated.
The surf here is very good, but like every spot: it does not always switch on, but when it does...
One of the young local guns shredding it and is even better at it today! It is great to see the next local generation rise up.
This was the same day and Piscina is known for it's rogue sets. Today was no different.

I wish I would have started surfing when I was younger! I tried it once and it's not easy in the beginning, but still it's so much fun! I guess I should just do it once a while to get better at it. Your pictures are great - the second last one is a perfect shot :)
hello bru, I was lucky to have started when I was an infant and then progressed on to a surf board. Never too late to learn. Even just using a body board to get used to gliding on the waves and it will build your confidence too.
Thank you about my photos. It is nice to be on the beach and taking photos of good surfers. You learn to anticipate their moves and it is useful whilst photographing. I also run the Steem surf photo contest and some of the entrants photos are really epic! Plus it is great to grow that community :)
