You asked about a good quality for a man, I would like to add 2:

1. being responsible. As a husband, and potentially a father, responsibility is one of the most important qualities a man should have.

2. being honest. Without honesty it is really difficult to develop a proper bonding with other people, besides, dishonesty can rot people from the inside.

A good man should always be responsible and honest.
