the delegation is essential right now to reward the contributions that are being curated on their platform.
I get that, it doesn't solve the issue of funding. Creating a witness to pay for server and other costs, is slapping a band-aid over the issue of project funding. Steem needs a place where these projects can get money and not just delegation.
Oh I agree. @elear will be launching a kickstarter for funding and marketing purposes. An SMT is considered to launch an ICO too. That will get that funding taken care of I believe. (also delegation won't be necessary since we can set up the SMT direct the reward pool.
