Time to add/remove some witness votes. // Full node? Do you run it... Well do ya?

I like to emphasize from time to time the importance of actually giving a damn about witness voting. Im not someone that has an immense knowledge of how things work "under the hood", but i do know a few things....
One of those few things being....

Having so few full nodes doesnt really fill the investors with confidence. Full nodes - integrity of Steem blockchain.

Now, i know im just a minnow... Im currently ranked #2740 based on my SP according to Steemitboard.. My witness vote isnt worth much looking at my VESTS.

So i wont really be affecting the witnesses much. But its still important that i pay attention for who i vote for!
Thats the lesson of the day.
Use your witness votes and understand your reasons for voting, even if they might be stupid ones.

Todays reason for witness voting/vote removals:

Are you a long time top 20 witness? Do you run a full node?

So lets take a look....

Alrightly then...... Seems pretty straight forward.. Time to remove some witness votes..

Ill be focusing on long term top 20 witnesses that have been getting that sweet sweet STEEM for a while now, even during the highs of the legendary DEC 2017.
First to the block....

  1. Jesta.... #20 witness. Been here ages. Been flirting with EOS if i remember correctly... bye bye.
  2. Drakos... #11 witness.. Seems like a cool guy. Never voted my shitposts.. Laterz.. haha
  3. Yabapmatt #8 witness.... Nah....He made Steem monsters. He doesnt need to do anything else. He gets to stay.
  4. Cryptodrive #19 witness... Umm... He is in Buildteam and they make a lot of cool stuff, but Buildteam made a lot of
    $$$ from vote selling so a full node would be nice.. bye for now..
  5. Curie gets a pass... Nope! Never got curied, no full node, no witness vote for you guys!. :D

So those were the votes removed.

There we go. The point of this post is to (reach Top trending) show how important it is to use your witness votes for whatever reason you might have.. Make a decision based on your values, because in a small way you are affecting the future of the STEEM blockchain.

    Honestly, I think most of the top 20 witnesses are allowed to skate on by. I'm sure they do a lot which I'm not aware of, but wish they'd share more of what they're using all the Steem they're earning. I know they were running for a little bit at a net loss due to the cost requirements and I'm not sure if that's still true, but they were making damn good money as you said.

    Yeah, some damn good money was made during the highs of 2017 and not only that, a number of top 20 witnesses either run bots or sell votes/delegate to bots taking even more from the reward pool.

    Which one of them is skating by? I cant say, but some definitely are.

    The problem is that STEEM has still a lot to go when it comes to token redistribution.. the top 5% still have too much power, meaning that its actually imperative for small accounts to earn as much as they can any way they can. If witnesses rely on more of us, rather then less, then they need to work to please the masses instead of just 1 guy (@freedom)
    On a side note.
    Its extremely hard for the smaller accounts like us to enter "the special group" or find a sponsor that will support your content, but there are ways to accumulate tokens regardless.
    A fair number of ways...
