비트코인 스위스 AG, 금융당국에 은행 라이선스 신청

암호화폐 브로커·딜러 업체인 비트코인 스위스 AG(Bitcoin Suisse AG)가 스위스 금융시장감독청(FINMA)에 은행 라이선스를 신청했다고 16일(현지시간) 발표했다. 해당 라이선스는 증권법(SESTA)에 의해 규제되는 증권 딜러 라이선스를 포함하고 있으며, 라이선스 취득 이후 암호화폐 금융 서비스 선두업체 입지를 강화한다는 방침이다. 또한, 비트코인 스위스는 라이선스에 대한 담보로 4,500만 스위스 프랑(4,570만 달러)을 당국 기관에 예치했다고 밝혔다. 비트코인 스위스는 스위스 암호화폐 ICO 특구인 크립토밸리 협회(Crypto Valley Association) 일원으로 알려져 있다.
