The ever-enchanting island of St.Kitts in the Caribbean. I do love sailing around this island, watching how the clouds cover the volcanic mountain, Mount Liamuiga. At 3,792 feet, it is actually one of the highest peaks in the entire Caribbean.
Saint Kitts, also known more formally as Saint Christopher Island, is an island in the West Indies. The west side of the island borders the Caribbean Sea, and the eastern coast faces the Atlantic Ocean. Saint Kitts and the neighboring island of Nevis constitute one country: the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Source
This is on the northern end of St. Kitts and the hike up, although it looks like nothing is actually a little deceiving. They actually nicknamed it Mt. Misery because the climb was harder than it looked because to the volcanic terrain.
St. Kitts is one of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. It is actually only 67 square miles. How do you say tiny?
This is one of the reasons I hesitated to enter #MountainMonday! My mountains are mere molehills compared to the Rockies! But, that only means I will have to go back and shoots some more pictures and travel when time permits.
Of course, there must always be a flower somewhere in my post.

Oh, it is beautiful down there on those little islands! The water surrounding those volcanic mountains is gorgeous too.
Oh, you could really get used to the salt life, I am telling you and would leave that lake life behind in a heartbeat! Nothing beats it!

Thank you @dobartim! My favorite part is how the cloud covers part of the mountain. I live in the Washington, DC area and there are no mountains here, so I had to use a picture from when I was on vacation.

Here is California, it is so different. The sun is shining and gardenwork needs to be done. When my kids were little, I tried to recreate the German romantic feeling of the season - but it is not working here. There have been days when it is in the 90s and Christmas is a go to the beach type of a day :)
But I have memories 😄
Ohhh, yes! I lived in warm climates (Arizona, Texas, California, Florida, Georgia, and New Mexico to name a few! It is so hard to recreate the magic when you are in a tank top and flipflops. :)
I do love this time of year and believe it or not, today is unseasonably warm and I have on running shorts. But, I hope you still enjoy Advent and all that it means.
And I envy you the garden work right now! xo

Good question. But I KNOW winter. He is sneaky and cold and sneezes snow and nasty cold rain all over the place. Watch out!! He likes to sneeze on people that have shorts on LOL
I had a friend that lived in Main and her husband was a California boy. He tried running in shorts LOL almost didn't make it home...
Hahaha! Oh, those California boys! LOL I am surprised he agreed to live in Maine!

I use to work with a woman who was from St. Kitts. She talked about it some but I never saw pictures. It's a very pretty place. I hadn't heard there was now a mountain monday but I think that's a great theme for the day. I love my mountains.

It is very pretty, but, like so many of the Caribbean islands... get away from the tourist areas and it is truly poor. What they really need to do is pour some of that money back into the economy and infrastructure and not only in the tourist areas.
I love mountains and don't photograph them nearly enough! Hope all is well with you and your loved ones. (all of them!)
