I never want to waste a moment of the season, so short and sweet they are. I inhale it in one smell, the near ripeness of the pine, pushing out pinecones for the next generation to come. Exposed and unadorned, nature reveals her beauty.

The light streams down, filtered by the branches, making play of the light and the shadows.

What a glorious way to close out the month! In the heat of the moment in the beginning and the wonder of that cooling-off period, still warm, but no sweltering involved. Oh, yes! It was time well spent, rejuvenating the soul, my soul…. Getting ready for the next best place, looking down the telescope of fall. We are not there and not nearly ready, but, it will inevitably be here before we know it.

Oh, summer! Lest I forget, I would like to thank you for all the joy it has brought to my heart. And of course, you too! Yes, you… and you… and you.

Royal Naval Dockyard, on the west end of Bermuda.

Bermuda Clocktower Mall. Located at the Royal Naval Dockyard, it's hard to miss this impressive building with its twin clock towers. The two towers on the two sides of the building are 100-foot high, one having a clock that shows the real time and the other with a clock that shows the time of the high tide.

To be fair, it is surrounded by beautiful palms... Seriously! It is #TreeTuesday!Look hard!

Helicopter seeds turn colors and won't drop until the Spring. The term was coined because of the way the seeds spiral down to earth as they fall from the tree. In the botanical world, they are known as samaras. I believe this is an Elm Tree, bases on the shape of the leaves. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. It has been interesting to watch the change in the trees from Spring to the upcoming fall, where most of them will take a winters rest.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, don't forget to see all that Mother Nature offers you. Beauty for nothing and the chicks are free. I heard that somewhere. When they throw in a dude or two, I'll be collecting.

As always, you know there have to be flowers. Always and forever to color my world. As only @Kalamandra can do. One of these days covers the #ColorChallenge for orange, but, not today. Today would be yellow. Excuse the out of order coloring for the day. I just couldn't let these pass me by this morning.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
