I was so sorry to not get out for my #WednesdayWalk today. It got complicated as life sometimes does and it didn't happen. I hate to disappoint @Tattoodjay, my fellow comrade when working on all things @Steemusa. So, I decided that I would pull a picture from some of my past walks and work with those.
Welcome to my life. A tad eclectic, somewhat like this post. Buckle up and I'll take you for a ride!
This was one of the best walks - ever! I was in North Carolina attending a Chinese Lantern Festival and used it for a walk. Well, Twenty four thousand steps later, I was still wanting to go through the displays one more time. And I want to go to Southeast Asia to see my next Festival. The colors and the atmosphere were so festive, you never wanted to leave. Oh, Hail the Lanterns!
Horsehoe Bay Beach, Bermuda. Say that to anyone who has been to Bermuda and you can watch their eyes glaze over with the memory of it. I could spend all day walking up and down the pink sand of this beach. Really! Pink sand! I think I never tire of it, no matter how long I go there. The rocks are always interesting and there are miles and miles more of the beach. All that beauty. What a way to walk.
The colonial style houses in downtown Old San Juan, Puerto Rico spell out a vibrant lifestyle and on your walk, you can feel the history in every step you take, especially if you walk over the blue cobblestoned streets... I am always and forever mesmerized by the beauty of the city.
How many beaches must you walk before you find one you can call your own? I ran on this beach, and then I walked back, so I think I can count this... I didn't see the rays until I processed the shots and then, I caught them. Note to self: take off the sunglasses when you are walking into the setting sun. Oh, look what I missed!
Anyone who thinks that walking the length of one of those huge cruise ships isn't exercise has never been on one. The larger ones are three football fields long and walking all day long puts in close to 25,000 steps... Easy, does it. I have done 30,000 without even blinking. They are fun, but, there is no doubt you get your exercise.
The walk around the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum in Mexico is an absolute archeological Masterpiece! There is a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea from here. It was actually built as a trading port. Tulum was the last city inhabited and built by the Maya. The wall was thought to be built not for defensive purposes but rather, a barrier to separate the classes... ruling elite from their lowly subjects. This is what archaeologists believe. It was a truly impressive walk, filled with amazing history. I walked rather slow so as to not miss anything.
Not very exciting, but, it is the pasture that I cut through when I am running and looking for a short cut home. Until I discovered that the farmer rotates his cows and his bulls. Yikes! Who knew. The bull is like a watchdog, waiting for me to try to make a break for it! Seriously. Imagine my surprise as I was walking through one day, unaware. Needless to say, this was a fast walking day.

I actually saw in one of my seed catalogs that Chinese lanterns are flowers too! If I had more room on the homestead I would love to add those for their fabulous appearance to my flower beds.
Hi, Dawne! @goldendawne I know exactly what you talking about! My grandmother used to have Chinese lanterns growing on the fenceline. They were really really cool looking during the summer, but I have to admit oh, they really read all of their glory when they dried out in the pool and became almost transparent with their seed pods hanging in the middle. They were one of my most favorite things to decorate with. I hope that you get them because I just know that you will enjoy the heck out of them! And now that you have said that, I have the Seed Catalog at my knee and I think I may have to get some for myself. Thanks for that!

Oh wow such stunning shots! I really need to metal detect that beach. I believe there is a gold ring or three just waiting one me!
I love how they use such bold colors on the shops there in Old San Juan.
Sunrays are always special and I cant wait to get on a cruise one day. I am mesmerized by the colors!

Oh yes! You should have seen some of those guys out there metal detecting the beach after the storm. We all know that's the best time to be scouring the beach for treasure, right? If I had thought about it myself I might have done it!
There's just something so totally peaceful to my soul about the riot of Colours that are used to decorate in the Caribbean. Perhaps peace is the wrong word oh, but there is a sense of peacefulness within my soul. That's As Good As It Gets. I can hardly wait to see you on a cruise! If you buy a couple more cars can you use your credit card, maybe you will be eligible for a free one. Because we all know that free is best, right? You will be surrounded by the Rays. I don't know about you but I am not excited to get in the pasture with the bull. I like to run for fun. But not because my life depends on it!
Moon pictures? Yes yes I did take some moon pictures yeah and I will send you a preview. They're not as good as the last full moon though.

I know the scrapbooks you mean. I got in to the habit of handwriting journals when I went travelling a few years back and may well do the same this time round when I jet set off in 3 weeks time! I tend to write far too much though as I just let the ramblings happen haha

You have to put money in a @tipu account and then you draw off that when you tip someone. You go to your wallet and hit the carrot on the Steem Dollars (or Steem) and click on transfer and fill in tipu in the amount you want to put in the bank. Then knock yourself out giving tips. :)

If you were looking to leave a tip, you must first put the ! and then the word tip. So it looks like this: !tip and now you will get another! :)
As far as the tips are concerned, you deposit a certain amount of money and although they used to increase your shares with each Deposit they no longer are doing this but they're working on getting tipu tokens introduced.

Fantastic ride. A color challenge for the eyes, although the real challenge is perhaps not to drool at the beauty of all these places.

Wonderful post @dswigle 😊 I would love to go to a lantern festival like that, I am sure I would just be in awe.
I have to say I miss the beach. I miss sitting on the sand, the taste of the salt air. It was the best walks, clearing my mind and so forth.
Oh, yes! I was born/raised on the Atlantic in Connecticut. Anyone who has experienced the salt life for a major portion of their life understands those thoughts!
I was in awe and loved it! It was only the third time in my life I have ever seen one and it was amazing. If you ever get a chance, go!
