Japan Silver Coin
I have seen only TWO Japan coins shown here on steemit, both from our Canadian friends: @kerrislravenhill and @thedamus.
I don't recall if I've shown my Japan coin here yet, so here it is:
1899 Japan 20 Sen Y#32, Meiji
SPECIFICATIONS & DESIGN:
Composition- Silver; Fineness- 0.8000; Weight- 5.3900g; ASW- 0.1386oz
This was how much I paid for this coin in May 2018...
... and this is how much it is being sold today, 9/20/2019.

That's a beautiful coin! There was a single Japanese silver coin in the auction I went to yesterday and it sold for over £100. Wish I'd paid attention to what it was now! E x

I think so too! I got this coin for the dragon design on the obverse. Dragons have been in coins in the 1800s... amazing!

I bought the coin for the design, @vgholdingsllc. You know that I am not a collector of coins. When to got it, I was ready to just lose the money, or something. Then yesterday after I posting about sashimi (which is a Japanese food), I was reminded that I have a Japan coin, so I went to eBay to check on current pricing on my one and only Japan coin. I was pleasantly surprised! And so this post... I guess it is my way of sending "Kudos" to coin collectors here, specifically @ronaldoavelino. It is my only Japan coin and I know @thedamus has one too!
