My Actifit Report Card: August 13 2019
A few random shots with my Actifit post
For this evenings acifit post I share some photos taken with my iPhone, this morning it was overcast and the forecast is for rain on and off all day that along with the damp getting into my bones this morning and my knees hip and back aching for some reason I took it easy and walked straight to work and didn't go for any photowalks today, but for this post I will share thee shots I took on my short walk tot he office and finish off with a couple of shots from previous walks that I never shared.
Starting with this shot of one of the entrances to the Chrysler building

Now I am not a tea drinker not even iced tea but I thought these bottles looked fun and if I was going to try one I think the Mint and Honey 🍯 sounded interesting

And to bust with work and other things in the city to go and drop off and pick up your own dry cleaning, no problem this guy and his trishaw wagon will pick up and deliver your dry cleaning, they even have an app you can use to order pickup.
Now that was all the photos i took this morning I thought I would get some shots at lunchtime but I didn't see anything that jumped out at me so here are a couple of random shots from other recent walks
This shot is from a visit to Brooklyn Bridge Park one morning, this is a piece of art titled Bridge over a tree, something a little different and the artist seems as creative with names for his art as I am with naming my photos, just simply describe what it is nothing fancy

That first shot was good. Maybe I would cut and reframe it trying to erase that sign... But it looks cool.

Ohhhh! The laundry delivery made me smile!!! That's very convenient! Hahaha! 😂😊 I love that idea. Not only are food or shopping items bought online are delivered, but also the laundry! Hahaha! 😂
Bravo!
Thanks for taking us for this quick walk, Uncle JJ. It made my day. 😊
And I have see many of these laundry carts around the city and I think just about anything you may want in the city can be delivered
Have a great day
Yes, anything. But I haven't seen anything similar in our city yet. Hmmm, I wonder who would be the first to do that?! 😊😊

That's too bad! Tea is so good for you and so refreshing. I used to hate it though, so I guess I can't really talk. That is an awesome old truck!
I know family and friends have bene telling me that for years, Coffee I cant stand so will never try that and my thing with Tea is I dont like hot drinks, maybe I should try one of these Iced Teas with lunch today and see what think of it
I love those little laundry cards! I can honestly say that I have used them time and again in a pinch. There is nothing like being at work, not being able to do the needful. It reminds me of the Pentagon in so many ways because that is a city within a building. It has its own dry cleaning, a CVS Pharmacy, a florist, a gym, huge gym in fact, showers, Barbershop and hairdresser and everything that would make a small village. As a matter of fact, with all the restaurants inside of there if you never wanted to leave, I don't think you would have to.
I love your strolls around the city because even when there is nothing going on, there's always something amazing to photograph. Even the mundane is a little bit more cool with the backdrop of New York City. Have a most wonderful day and yes I'm a day late and a dollar short.
As always, you are the best Guide on #SteemUSA!

I have been by the Pentagon but never inside, I guess the Main UN building is a little like that with a few cafeterias, a Bank, a Gym, but no pharmacy florist or Dry Cleaners, it reminds me though thinking about it of the big US bases i went to in the Balkans they were huge had had a little slice of everything there.
I went for a good stroll before work this morning, I wanted to 10K steps and or over 4 mile sin one long walk and see how my legs felt before the Drs appointment this morning and glad to see they feel good for the most part
Have a great day Aunt Tippy
Glad to hear that! Oh, the bases are villages and you never have to go off base if you live there, especially if you are out of the US. They make sure they have extra in them so you don't miss home!
OHh yeah compared to use living out inthe community it was such a contrast, we did love when we had excuses to visit the bases I must say
