My Feed Was Blasted With Apps: Added More STEEM To My Account

I got online this afternoon after being gone all morning. As I looked through my feed, I was struck by all the posts regarding the different apps on here. It seemed like every second or third post was an update of one form or another.

This is so exciting to see.

Honestly, there is no reason to not be excited about Steem. This blockchain is rocking with development. We are moving closer to being a major force in the cryptoeconomic world. Things are starting to align which should propel STEEM to great heights. When the market wakes up, I have no idea. I do know that I feel these prices are an absolute steal.

Thus, I purchased another block of STEEM and powered it up. While there might be another leg down, I felt that adding now is only of benefit to me. If we do see ridiculous numbers on the down side, I will add a bit more (still kept a bit of powder in the keg).

Yesterday, I posted about dStors.. This is an exciting application since it is bringing shopping and travel to the Steem Blockchain. It seems they are not the only marketplace starting to emerge.

In a post today, busy.org mentioned they are going to have a preview of their marketplace at their booth during Steemfest. This is something they announced a couple years ago. They also are about to release version 3 of the application. It looks like this will go multi-chain.

On top of that, @aggroed proclaimed @steemmonsters the most used blockchain game out there. There are about 3K people who have cards with 2K of them playing the games. This is a fairly significant number for the blockchain world.

How significant?

Matt had some ethereum game devs bragging to him about how many people were playing their game. They were near the most played game. They had 12 people. By grand theft auto standards Steem Monsters is still nothing. Not even a spec. By crypto it's the biggest game going by number of daily players as far as I know.

The other big piece of news in his post was that the marketcap for @steemmonsters is now $1.3M. This would place it #845 in all tokens. By the time the SMT protocol is released, this could be moving towards the top 250.

I mentioned @share2steem in a number of posts. While I am not a social media person since I do not use the traditional sites, this application really impressed me. I like that they have the ability to let people keep doing what they are while bringing them into the Steem ecosystem. Plus, now I keep seeing updates from them on a regular basis meaning the development team is not resting.

Today they announced the ability to integrate Twitch into their application. This is nice addition to go with Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Finally, @actifit wrote a post about the importance Witnesses and why they feel that DApps should be represented in the Top 20. This is something that makes a whole lot of sense. The development teams for all these applications are investing a lot of time and money into bringing their business to market on here. They work tirelessly to churn out updates adding more features and benefits for us.

They also have the technical expertise that goes along with having to run a Witness node (or a full node). Having that background enables them to deal with not only issues as they arise but also interact with the Steemit team in an effort to keep the best interest of the platform at the forefront.

We need to realize, while it is easy for an individual to up and leave this blockchain, it is more difficult for a creator of an application to do that. More than a million accounts went inactive while I can only think of one application that actually left the blockchain (no use saying who it is). DApp developers are throwing their full commitment to Steem.

These are some really exciting times. This blockchain is starting to emerge as a force in this industry. While the rest of the world is not taking notice, those of us who are here now can see the advancements being made. The development teams are pulling things together AND people are starting to use the applications. This is very important.

We should see a continuation of this. We are rapidly move up the ranks in terms of blockchain. There are few out there that have as much taking place as Steem. The token might be lagging but the development is not.

Nothing I write here is financial advice but I feel confident putting some more money into STEEM. Powering up is my way of committing even further to the blockchain. I feel very confident where this all is going.
