Will that get you to comment? Steemit right now is all about authors, but what about readers!
This platform is sort of crazy. It's supposed to be a way to reward authors by having readers tip them with upvotes, but it's too difficult to become just a reader because it's not that easy to register. Only people who want to invest time or money into the blockchain actually join.
We'bre basically a bunch of authors writing to each other. Some of us are better at it than others. But, as content creators, we all need one thing - content consumers. I don't read a lot of posts. Being an author takes a bigger part of my time, which is tiring. Makes me not bother looking at other people's posts. I don't think I'm the only one like that.
But I want to read them. It's just usually not worth it. I don't get much for it. It's a monetary blockchain, which is why I'm involved in the first place. Most people don't have the steem power to upvote my comments meaningfully anyway, so I can't blame them. The ones that do have enough SP usually trade upvotes or whatever.
So here's what I propose. You comment on my post, maybe upvote it, and I upvote your comment. Up to 5 comments total a day because that's what my Steem Power allows me, since I still want to use some on friends and, well, myself.
Speak up! I want to hear what you have to say. It doesn't have to be about the posts' topic. The road ahead is more meaningful in good company. PS: The first person who comments their thoughts on this post will get a @steembasicincome share.
Word, man. you speak the truth. I'm just starting out and I had no idea how hard it was to get anywhere. And I run out of RC when I make too many comments. But I'm going to keep after it. Good luck to you in building your account. I voted for you, but you know the story, it's not worth much. Friends are good to have though, never know where we will all end up.

The issue with Steem is the idea that all you do is for earning. Write to profit, read to profit, play to profit etc All these will fail. If profit really is the focus you want then: Write to write, read to read, play to play and so forth and from it profit will come. Few things are focus profit -> get profit. Most are focus needs/urges -> get profit.
Yes, I agree. But reading is just not encouraged enough. We have to start somewhere! I think we would get a lot more readers, people who are here just for the sake of being here, if it is easier to join the blockchain. Hopefully I'll be able to set something up once I reach the free account creation threshold of 6k SP.
Indeed! I have been collecting free accounts, thinking at some point it's good to have to be able to invite new users at no cost.
You are certainly correct! I saw your post in SBI's discord post promotion channel. I came here to support you before I put in my own post for promotion. It is definitely hard to find the time to do everything you need to do to gain any traction here. And when you do finally get a little bit of recognition you get 300 votes, but still only worth a couple of dollars. No one, except whales, have any voting power. One thing I have done recently is join @upvotebuilders. It's not a bot, or vote buying. You delegate SP to them and your SP is pooled with other members to be able to give everyone one good vote a day, for a good post. The amount of the upvote is based on the amount you delegate. And of course you can pull it back at any time. Their "slogan" is POWER IN UNITY. Just an idea for you to consider. :)
