I've been away on a vacation for the last week hence the reason for lack of posts from me. Mrs Bunnypuncher and I went to Las Vegas to check it out and see the sights. We had a great time and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so they say so I won't go into too much detail. But my trip gave me a contest idea to hear about your trips and vacations.

I went backpacking across Europe and I met a steemit friend in Amsterdam. we live 6500 kms apart. What I love about travelling is experiencing the way people live. I never visit the usual tourist fare but meet up with friends. Here on steemit, there are warm awesome people from all over the world.
I enjoyed the local food so much, the croissants in the morning with really good coffee, kaassoufflé. An awesome place called vegan junk food bar which serves vegan food that tastes like the real stuff. It was an amazing trip.
My best vacation ever was in the lovely country of Bhutan. Its an amazing country. Calm and peace loving people. The carbon negative country with beautiful scenic roads. Just check the images and details here in my post. The post has already passed its payout period.

My first summer vacation for this year was in Manila zoo where I met Maali, the 40 year old elephant.
By far my best vacation thus far was going to Sydney and Cairns Australia in 2016. We got an amazing place on the cliffs of Bondi beach overlooking the Tasman Sea. After a a week there we flew to Cairns and went scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. The flight from the Midwest was totally worth the experience.
I am from Nepal and I had a friend who was in Japan for his higher studies. He came back to Nepal and we decided to go to Mustang. Don't get confused with expensive Mustang car, but Mustang is a beautiful place in heart of Himalayas. We long dreamt about this trip but couldn’t make it a couple of times. Time, weather, money, etc. was always against us previous time. Mustang is located at an altitude of 3800m and you need a good preparation before you make a trip. 2017 was our year, and me, with 3 other friends started our trip to Mustang. It is a long trip and its impossible for me to write in details about it here in the comment. It was a wild and amazing trip. I have posted some pictures of Mustang here.

Mustang is rich in culture and tradition, and the people there are very hospital. Thakali people mainly inhabits here, I love their food.
This is Thakali food, my favorite and one of the most popular food in Nepal and was originated from Mustang.
