Calibra the real protagonist..

Everyone is doomed to the great news of Libra but no one is paying attention to the real protagonist of everything new that has to start, Calibra is going under the table or unnoticed and do not realize that she is the one who will have full control of the situation.

Most of us just focus on the different cryptos, pending their value as well as making the exchanges, and it is only at that moment of exchange that we realize the importance of the wallets.

What would happen if there were no wallets, does that mean that there were no cryptos?

Have you asked yourself that question?

When the first BTCs were sent and received, the developers in this case Satoshi Nakamoto, creator (or group of creators) and Hal Finney, an American cryptographer. The first version didn't last long. In fact, Bitcoin v0.1.2 was released by Nakamoto on January 11, one day before the first 50 BTCs were sent to Finney. On January 12, 2009 the first transaction was made for that Hal downloaded the first version of the client the same day of the launch, this was the first time that digital coins were exchanged in this particular case were BTC and had to use a wallet, realizing its importance.

Okay then what can we say about Calibra

She will play a very important role in bringing the new FaceBook coin to life.

In the same way that Satoshi Nakamoto created his own wallet that was installed on a desktop computer with Windows, the same Facebook created this wallet for everyone, but still in development you can register here to access in advance.

The cash will be digitized but for that to be possible you must simply be the one who places that money and through Calibra make the change, you can convert your local currency into Libra to add money to your wallet and vice versa if you want to extract money. To do all these conversions, the app will show your country's exchange rate so you know exactly how much money you'll get.

The reach of facebook is global and there is no doubt that more people will have greater access to the global economy. But not everything is rosy, the main objective is that Calibra is available to everyone in the world, according to their page they indicate that they are working to launch Calibra in as many countries as possible.

In this cryptographic world we must all be very aware of some fraud, but that guarantees we have with calibra, they explain that:

All accounts and transactions are verified, and the app has built-in fraud protections. Accounts are verified by official identification to ensure that you know who you are interacting with. Information from Facebook and WhatsApp accounts, if available, is also used to verify identity and prevent fraud. Calibra also has a reporting tool and dedicated customer service in the app. In the unlikely event of an unauthorized transaction, you will receive a full refund.

If you want to know more I invite you to visit the following link, Get more information about security and privacy at Calibra.

But the same happens with many wallets that even with all their security they have been violated for various reasons, one of them is by the same ignorance of the holder of the wallet and not be cautious with his key as in other very experienced cases Hacker manage to steal your keys and well you know the story of what happens.

Well despite everything there are still many doubts one of them is. Calibra will only change pound? depending on the cash of each country, that is one of many questions, I know that little by little and as this closer to the launch of the famous Libra coin and I'm sure Calibra will have the most important role as it is to handle all the money that passes through his app, I would like to know what you think of calibra, however I invite you to read the publication of a good friend @jadams2k18 that can clarify many doubts regarding wallets. Wallets. How many do you have?

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate your opinion.

"In your constant evolution".

Sort:

Can we really even call it a wallet if you're not keeping your own keys though? I think we need to make that distinction? It's not a wallet its a payment app that gives you access to their server, it's not really a wallet.

Hi @chekohler

I think we can call it a wallet. But centralized one. Same as we use word "exchange" regardless if it's centralized or not.

So I would consider Calibra a centralized wallet, where we give up our ownership for convenience.

Cheers
Piotr

Hi @chekohler

True that great detail was not described by me in the publication and you are absolutely right it is not ours because we do not have the keys to our own wallet.

I am very grateful for this clarification

Well said it is a paypal version.

Hey @lanzjoseg!

Thank you for the mention!

Excellent post!

You know I don't believe much in that Libra coin, but just in case I already signed up to have access to Calibra! hahaha

No lootie, no bootie!

Did you sign up too?

It will be great to make payments through WhatsApp!

Greetings!

Hi @jadams2k18

Sometimes we must believe, if not my step to steemit was not possible. many do not believe in steemit, and look at your witness a reality that helps us a lot to survive in Venezuela

True?

That's right, my friend.

You are not the first to mention wallets being more crucial than coins themselves but definitely ahead of me. I read from someone else about it and now from you lol.

This maybe a sort of ploy Facebook has made where coin is advertised but wallet slipped in unnoticed. The data wallets can have based on users spending and saving is crucial to providing good user service. No doubt in my mind who ever wins the race of making a dominant digital wallet will rain supreme on the coming future.

It is politics or a way to make business. Focus on the coin, make people depend on it and once they are the wallet is a must... No matter what kind of.

Dear @wakeupkitty

Again you have the reason that type of policy is used in many aspects not only of business, it is used even in life,

Example when we are in the process of falling in love with a person,
:D

Hi @mawit07

There are still many things to come and you will continue to read about it, it certainly is.

This maybe a sort of ploy Facebook has made where is it advertised but wallet slipped in unnoticed.

If you notice in emerging currencies the first thing they do is send to intalar the wallet then you can enjoy the currency, in this case we are still waiting for the launch of Libra but do not doubt they will ask you to install the app of the wallet first.

Greetings friend.

As far as the Calibra wallet goes, I think that no private keys is kind of a dealbreaker. Even though I leave some money on exchanges, I'm well aware of the risks. But a Facebook wallet? I wouldn't trust them with anything.

I've started using the tip feature on discord and I feel like this is just like that but for Facebook. It doesn't really seem revolutionary to me... just Zuckerberg knocking off more stuff.

Hi @mastersa

just Zuckerberg knocking off more stuff.

And many who are with him have that scheme, we will continue to wait for the development events of Calibra and Libra side by side.

My dear @lanzjoseg, thanks for sharing this post.

Certainly everything around this release is giving a lot to talk about, calibrate could not stay behind now is to see all the benefits that this launch will bring with it in 2020.

Thanks friend, crypto keeps moving forward

Thanks for this article, I had not really looked for information about the wallet for the new currency that drives Facebook

Hi @pedrobrito2004

Well I'm glad you visited my publication and could find something that was not wanted ..

I already went through the link you gave and I registered to be notified when that wallet is working, we'll see how everything goes.

Thank you for introducing
a new payment system
after yoy starting use it ,
I suggest everyone don't deposit too much money.

Greetings @lanzjoseg

Excellent article about Calibra. Thank you for inviting me to go through this publication.

Following the recommendation send the request for the wallet.

Hi @tramelibre

Now we just have to wait for you to confirm your request, I know they are working on that.

Greetings friend.

Dear @lanzjoseg

I just had a pleasure to read your publication. It's not very "fresh" post and I wonder if you're still even checking comments ...

Anyway, solid read buddy. Sometimes I'm wondering why current authorities are still allowing for such a monopoly. Let's face it. FB and their calibra will monopolize many industries, and it's so very unhealthy for global economy.

What would happen if there were no wallets, does that mean that there were no cryptos?
Have you asked yourself that question?

I never did. Simply because I never imagined situation when there is no wallets. Interesting question mate :)

ps. I seriously wonder how many people will give their trust to Facebook. Their brand and their name suffered huge impact lately and somehow I don't think that most people who have knowledge about crypto/blockchain would be interested with whatever they have to offer.

The reach of facebook is global and there is no doubt that more people will have greater access to the global economy.

One question: will everyone need to purchase Bitcoin or ETH with FIAT and only then exchane it to Libra? Any idea? Or would I be able to puchase Libra directly with FIAT?

ps. 2.
It's very confusing: what's the difference between Libra and Calibra? From my understanding Calibra = wallet, Libra = currency. Right?

Cheers,
Piotr
