Today I opened the pack of cards I received from a reward from being in 1st place for powering up. Who said powering up doesn’t have its rewards.

I have not been involved with steemmonster . I do know some people who are involved. I just do not have the time with everything else going on here.
I have heard that some of the cards are worth a lot of money. As you can see $200 is nothing to sniff at. Here is an example of a lucky draw. It is said that the odds are 0.8% chance of a gold card like this. I have been beating the odds lately. I sure would like to power that up.

Congrats on the card! I agree with you. The card might be worth holding on to until the market picks up again. That's a rare card, after all. Only 31 has been in existence according to the @peakmonsters market. Hope you get a good price for it!
wow only 31 cards in circulation. that does make them rare. I hope the price is good and it sells. if not I will just hold on to it
Yeah. It's best to hold on to it. The prices in the market aren't that great right not. Probably because it's too expensive for STEEM owners to use their STEEM to buy cards. Maybe when the price improves or the Gold Cards Only tournaments become more common.
I heard that there is and end of season low right now. I will wait and in no rush to sell so hopefully thats in my favor
Congratulations, that's an awesome card to land from 1 pack. I have seen a YouTube video of someone (@reseller i think) who has opened literally thousands of pack and never landed a gold legendary. Best bit is that if you can get a decent sale price for it, power up the proceeds you will probably top the league again.

I saw the conversation last week and it got me curious. then today when I opened the pack I had to go to monster discord and get some help to find out what I had. I could not believe the luck

Wow. That's brilliant @wolfhart. I've never had anything even close to that after opening a couple of hundred packs. My luck with Steem Monsters is really poor as far as the cards I get. 😂

OK I am going to help you out but DO NOT tell anyone. When you open the pack open it from the bottom ripping it from left to right and see the gold.
I know right what luck. I know so many people who have opened hundreds of packs and nothing. Nada, zilch. Like I said luck and just beat the odds.

I habe tried opening cards every which way and it makes no difference. Even got my grandson and partner on it but they were no luckier than I. 😂

Congrats on what is a good find. I have been thinking of getting into the Steem monsters but still don't know anything about it. I never played the Yugio game (my son did) and I assume it is something like that.
Are people actually paying others fiat money for these things? I saw Ash comment below someone would pay 56.00 for the card and others were willing to sell for 219.00. That's insane, that's like 160-600 Steem for the one card, lol.

People are paying for good cards. I have not had time to get into it. And never played any type of game like that. Different generation. Thanks buddy. It’s been challenging around here to say the least

I have some regular legendary card but not the golden one except daria dragonscale.. I was having 3 of her before.

there has been a lot of tears here. the other day first time tears of joy. maybe there is a reason for this journey. I don't know, I do the best I can with the faith I have.
I've been up close and personal with cancer and all those tests and treatments. My husband battled it for 10 years before it won. I can only wish for you to be strong and keep fighting it. Hugs from me.

I don’t beleive it. I was just going to let it sit in the pack and I opened them , to see how to access them and the other cards I have. Last week someone said that they could not open their packs. Mine opened and there it was.

I sell mine, and gain some nice amounts of Steem from them!
That’s what I am trying to do. I don’t know how to find out what they are worth. And most of my cards are not worth much.
Be careful. When I first started selling I didn't realize the difference between the gold and the regular cards and sold a high-priced card for much less than what it was worth. I go to the market, look up the card that I want to sell and see what the price is. I go back into collection and go to the card I want to sell and if I want the money for it quickly I usually price it just under what's the going rate is. I'm happy to help if you have questions, although there are surely people out there who know far more about selling monsters than I do!
That’s what I did and priced it just under the other card for sale. That will be one nice power up LOL I did get help from a good guy in monster discord .
