It's very simple. I'll spare you the scientific complexities. Generally, if you find it hard to pit on weight, you should know you have a fast metabolism and would require more food than the average person. The rule of thumb is the find the formula that works for you ie, that point where the amount of food you eat results in obvious weight gain. On the other hand, if loosing weight is an issue, you would need to create a shortage of calories by eating less. Keep in mind that you dont need insane amounts of protein. 0.8 grams of protein per pound of body weight is enough. Let me know of any questions as i guide you on this journey.
