Creative Date Idea 30: Get Your Extreme Sports On! (Something Other Then Netflix and Chill)

It's Friday, that means date night! Next up is Creative Date #30 Get Your Extreme Sports On, from my book entitled 101 Creative Dates: ideas, tips, and personal experiences from the life of a hopeless romantic. I love creative dates. It is fun to come up with a new idea or put a twist on a classic idea and take a girl out and have fun. I had all kinds of ideas and personal experiences with dating, so I made a book about it and recently published in on Amazon. Get Your Extreme Sports On
There are places you can go that have all kinds of extreme sports to do.
A place I used to live by was called Extreme Sports Center. This place had fun and unique activities like padded suit sumo wrestling, gladiator fighting, laser tag, obstacle courses, and video games. It was perfect; if you and your date are in a competitive mood, grab a group of friends and go to a place like this and have at it. These types of places are usually not very expensive either, so it won’t break your budget. This makes a really fun group date activity, or you can even do it with just the two of you. Some other related places are trampoline parks; one near where I live now is called “Jumpstreet.” It is basically a warehouse with a ton of different trampolines to play on.
What you need for this date:
Search for a place like this online near you and then show up and be dressed for the occasion.
My commentary on this date:
A few years ago, we got together a big group of people with a nice mix of men and women. We weren’t paired up, so it wasn’t really a “date,” per se, but was fun just the same. We went to a place called “Extreme Fun Center” to test our skills against each other.

It was super funny watching my friends get dressed up in the sumo outfits and wrestle with each other, and also play in the big obstacle course that kind of looked like something that would be at a McDonalds playland, only bigger.

A big attraction there was a harness that you put on which was connected to a bungee cord; you were supposed to run as far as you could without getting pulled back. I didn’t get that far. The Gladiator arena was cool, too; people were falling over left and right.

The best part? I didn’t see one person without a smile on their face.

My wife and I default to Netflix and chill almost every night. We have kids so it's a bit more difficult to get out to the extreme sports arena but I'm sure it would be fun. I'd totally be down to a night of hardcore sumo wrestling. All the things that you mention in your date commentary are things I would definitely enjoy. This is a cool series Matt. You are a fantastic content creator :)

Thank you Ken! That that is probably tough with kids, unless you have reliable baby-sitters. But every once in awhile, you should get a babysitter and take your wife out...haha :) Someday I will be in your shoes, although I am 40 now, and I am not getting any younger. LOL

oh yes you would love it! :) A great date idea for the both of you! Have you both gone down to Santa Monica beach? That is a great place to visit, if you have never been. The pier is awesome and then the beach has ALL kinds of awesome workout things. They have dip bars, pull up bars, awesome giant ring swings. Might be worth a long weekend trip if you have never been. :)

You totally should! I bet she would love it! Honestly try it out sometime for a Date nigh, doesn't necessarily have to be this idea. :)

STOPYou reminded me to invite my wife to a dating, we celebrated recently our two years anniversary wedding, but I think I have to invite her to a dating, we didn't do that for a long time because we have a little 10 months old baby. She is @steemitbaby by the way. Thanks for the inspiration video and the nice text. ☺
Awesome, yeah you should take your wife out on a date once in awhile when the situation permits. It makes it a bit more difficult with a little one. But if you have friends that can babysit, family, etc. That helps. Or take the little one along. For example, a picnic in the park date, super easy, and you could easily bring the little one with you. But I bet if you planned and outing and got a babysitter, she would love it! haha :) Cool I will check out her blog too!
We will sometimes hit up the local trampoline place and do some seriously fun bouncing. It is one heck of a workout.
